Another Tubidy description presents the service as a free video-hosting platform where users can upload, store, stream, and share video. That is a different model with different responsibilities for uploaders, viewers, storage, and copyright complaints.
Depending on the domain, you may see some combination of:
- Search for audio or video by title, artist, keyword, or source.

When saving a file is on firmer ground
A local copy is generally easier to justify when at least one of these conditions applies:
- You created the recording or video and own the relevant rights.
- The rights holder gave you permission to download and keep it.
- The source provides an explicit download license or authorized download option.
- The work is in the public domain in the country where you are using it.
- You are downloading your own previously uploaded material through an authorized account feature.
You still need to follow the source’s terms. A license may limit commercial use, redistribution, public performance, editing, or sharing even when it permits personal downloads.
Personal use is not a blanket exception
U.S. fair use is a fact-specific doctrine associated with limited purposes such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. A cautious workflow for an authorized download
If you have confirmed that you are allowed to keep the media and the particular Tubidy domain is legitimate for your purpose, use the least complicated workflow available:

Conversion cannot improve a poor source. Turning a low-quality stream into a larger MP3 does not restore missing detail, and changing a file extension does not change its underlying format. If you already clicked something suspicious
- Close the tab and cancel any download that is still running.
- Do not open an unfamiliar executable or compressed installer.
- Run a scan with your normal, reputable security software.
- Review recently installed browser extensions and remove anything you did not intentionally install.
- Review notification permissions. In many Chromium-based browsers this is under Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Notifications; Firefox uses Settings → Privacy & Security → Permissions → Notifications. Labels can change between browser versions.
- If you entered a password or payment information, change the password from the legitimate service’s website and contact the relevant financial institution promptly.
A security scan addresses a device-safety question, not a copyright question. A file can be malware-free and still be an unauthorized copy.

YouTube says Premium members can download eligible videos for offline playback in supported browsers and devices. Availability can depend on country, device, and the individual video. These downloads are stored for use within YouTube’s service; they are not unrestricted MP4 files that you can move to any player.
YouTube Music says Premium members can download songs, videos, and podcasts to supported mobile devices. The service requires periodic reconnection so that downloads remain available. These are service-controlled offline downloads, not ordinary MP3 files for export.

That distinction is often the best answer for someone who wants reliable offline listening without needing to determine whether a third-party converter has permission to copy a recording. Review the current plan, region, device, and content eligibility before subscribing.
Authorized files and purchases
If you need a transferable MP3 or video file, use a source that expressly sells, licenses, or provides the file for download. For material you own or have permission to use, keep the original file and any license or permission record.
