The original schedule listed a 1 p.m. ET preview show on ABC and a 1:30 p.m. ET preview on ESPN Deportes. ESPN2 also scheduled an encore for 8 p.m. ET. The 2 p.m. listing that appeared in some advance guides was therefore the original planned start, not the final start after the delay. The Associated Press reported the 30-minute postponement.

How to watch the final for free in the U.S.
1. Use an antenna to receive local ABC
An over-the-air antenna was the simplest genuinely free option. If an antenna could receive the viewer’s local ABC affiliate, the final could be watched without cable, satellite service or a streaming subscription. ABC is a broadcast network, so a pay-TV account was not required for its over-the-air signal.

Contemporary reporting from Forbes and Yahoo Sports described those offers on or around the day of the final. They should not be treated as current promotions. A trial may require payment details and can renew into a paid subscription unless canceled under the service’s terms.
Was the final on ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes or ESPN+?
In the United States, the English-language final was on ABC. ESPN Deportes carried the Spanish-language broadcast. ESPN also made tournament coverage available through its app for subscribers with the required ESPN access, but that did not mean every ESPN-branded tier included the ABC final.

ESPN Select does not show the final
ESPN Select was the ESPN+ content tier. The final was carried on ABC, so Select alone was not the reliable access choice. A qualifying traditional ESPN subscription, the relevant ESPN Unlimited tier or a live-TV package carrying ABC was needed for app-based viewing.
