28 Years Later opened in U.S. theaters on June 20, 2025. By August 2026, it should be treated primarily as a home-viewing title rather than a current wide theatrical release.
That does not prove that no theater anywhere is showing it. Older films can return for repertory programs, horror marathons, festivals, anniversary events, or one-off screenings. The reliable answer depends on your location and the date you want to attend.

If you use the ad-supported tier, or if the title page presents a plan or account restriction, check the options shown for your account before assuming the film will play.
Netflix catalogs are country-specific and can change. Someone opening the title page outside the U.S. may see a message saying the film is unavailable in that country. That does not necessarily mean it has been removed from Netflix in the United States. It means the rights are being checked against the viewer’s location.

There is also no guarantee that the film will remain on Netflix permanently. Streaming licenses can change, so verify the title in the Netflix app or on the official title page when you are ready to watch.
