Edgar Cayce (pronounced Kay-see), one of the most mysterious men to ever live, had more near-death experiences than anyone else in documented history. Coming from humble beginnings, Cayce was able to astound people all over the world with his supernatural ability of leaving his body while under hypnosis and journeying into the afterlife realms. After his first trance in 1910, he quickly gained national fame when the New York Times ran a two-page article about him titled “The World’s Most Mysterious Man”.
Not only did Cayce become well known but also highly sought after due to his ability to accurately diagnose and prescribe treatments for gravely ill people often hundreds of miles away through his out-of-body journeys. In fact, President Woodrow Wilson himself sought out Edgar Cayce for healing and guidance while he was president as well as when he was attempting to conceive the League of Nations.
The medical community was astonished by his unique approach to healing which not only focused on curing symptoms but also targeting the root cause of illness. His holistic approach views health as spiritual, mental, and physical and is considered by JAMA, a prestigious medical journal, to be foundational in modern holistic medicine. In 1954, the University of Chicago even accepted a Ph.D thesis based solely on a study of his life and work!
It’s no wonder why Edgar Cayce has been referred to as “The Miracle Man of Virginia Beach”.
