The coronavirus pandemic has affected people across the globe, and this compelling documentary is no exception. With many coronavirus patients being admitted to intensive care, brave doctors and medics are fighting tirelessly to keep hospitals running as normally as possible. This captivating documentary recounts the inspiring story of their selfless service and dedication.
The documentary follows the lives of patients and doctors at a southern German hospital as they battle the COVID-19 virus. Among them is Barbara, one of the first Germans to be admitted to the hospital with COVID-19 who survived after fighting rigorously in the ICU. Meanwhile, Clemens spent months in intensive care and is still struggling to overcome the virus’s long-term effects. Filmmaker Patrick Hünerfeld offers a moving insight into the personal journeys of patients and their families, providing a heartfelt portrayal of the difficulties imposed by COVID-19 and the remarkable efforts of the medical team to save lives affected by the virus.
