A September 5, 2025 report said some existing YouTube TV subscribers were offered $33 off per month for two months: $49.99 instead of the then-cited $82.99 Base Plan price, for $66 in total savings. It was a targeted, account-specific offer—not a public deal for every subscriber—and Google had not publicly announced that specific promotion. It may have expired or been replaced, so check your own account rather than relying on an old screenshot or headline.
What was the reported discount?
According to Android Headlines’ September 5, 2025 report, selected existing subscribers saw a temporary reduction on the YouTube TV Base Plan. The report described these terms:
- Then-cited standard Base Plan price: $82.99 per month.
- Reported discount: $33 per month for two months.
- Reported promotional price: $49.99 per month during those two months.
- Maximum savings over the offer period: $66.
The math is $82.99 minus $33, or $49.99 per month; two monthly discounts of $33 total $66. These are the reported terms, not a guarantee of what any account will show today. The report said the promotion appeared in some accounts and was not officially announced by Google.
How to check whether your account has an offer
The report described finding the offer in YouTube TV through a desktop browser. Menu wording can vary as the interface changes, so use the closest matching membership and billing options:

- Open YouTube TV in a desktop web browser and sign in to the Google account that holds the membership.
- Open Settings, then look for Membership or Membership & billing.
- Choose the Base Plan and select Manage.
- Open the account or offer-management area and look for a promotional card or reduced-price offer.
- Before accepting, read the displayed price, how long it applies, the next billing date, and the renewal price.
The reported path was Settings → Membership → Base plan → Manage → Account. The offer should be treated as available only if it appears in your signed-in account with terms you can review; no public coupon code was reported.
Why the offer may not appear
Not seeing a discount does not by itself mean you have followed the wrong steps. The 2025 report did not establish universal eligibility, and Google’s published offer terms describe promotions with account and billing restrictions.

- You may be signed in to a different Google account from the one billed for YouTube TV.
- Your subscription may be billed through a mobile carrier, app store, or other partner, which can affect where it must be managed and whether a direct account offer applies.
- The offer may already have been accepted or declined, or your membership status—such as a pause or trial—may not match its eligibility rules.
- You may have an add-on but not an eligible Base Plan membership.
If you pay through a partner, check the billing provider’s subscription controls as well as YouTube TV. Neither the report nor Google’s general terms establish that support can manually grant this particular promotion.
What to check before accepting
Confirm the renewal price and date
Google’s general offer terms say a promotional price ends and recurring billing resumes at the then-current standard price; they also warn that prices can change. The terms shown on your account are more useful than an old report for determining your own end date and next charge. Note both, and set a reminder before the discounted period ends. If you no longer want the service at the renewal price, review the account’s cancellation or pause options in time.

Check what the discount covers
The 2025 report described a Base Plan price reduction. Do not assume that premium channels, sports packages, or other separately billed add-ons are included. Review the offer confirmation and billing breakdown to see which charges change and which remain. The final amount may also reflect taxes, fees, or third-party billing treatment.
Weigh the short-term saving against ongoing cost
The reported $66 saving covered only two months. Before accepting, consider whether you still use YouTube TV’s live channels and DVR, what your full bill will be after the offer, and whether add-ons materially increase it. A temporary credit can lower the near-term bill without changing whether the ongoing subscription is worth its recurring price.

How this differs from other YouTube TV offers
Public promotions for new users
The $49.99 report concerned selected existing subscribers, not a general new-customer deal. Google’s published terms distinguish offers for people who are not current Base Plan subscribers; some also exclude people who previously subscribed or used a trial. An official indexed offer page showed $67.99 per month for three months, then $82.99, marked for new users only and with an August 26, 2026 end date. Promotions can change quickly, so check the official offer page and the checkout screen for current eligibility and pricing.
A separate, later reported retention offer
In early 2026, separate reports described an offer of $20 off per month for four months—$62.99 rather than $82.99, for $80 total savings.
