Yes. YouTube TV rolled out custom multiview on April 28, 2026, letting subscribers choose eligible live streams instead of relying only on preselected combinations. For NFL Sunday Ticket, that means building a view from eligible NFL games, with up to four simultaneous streams. It does not mean placing a Sunday Ticket game beside any channel in the YouTube TV lineup: YouTube TV’s current help documentation limits Sunday Ticket multiview to NFL content.
What changed with YouTube TV multiview?
Before the customization rollout, viewers generally chose among combinations assembled by YouTube TV. The multiview builder now lets viewers select eligible live content themselves. YouTube TV’s April 28, 2026 announcement says subscribers can combine content from their YouTube TV plan with an add-on such as NFL Sunday Ticket in one multiview. YouTube TV’s rollout announcement

The practical change is control over which eligible games share the screen. The choice is still constrained by available live streams, subscription access, the device, and NFL broadcast rules. Custom does not mean unrestricted. YouTube TV says Sunday Ticket streams, including RedZone when the viewer has the required access, can be combined with other NFL games, but not with unrelated YouTube TV channels. A Sunday Ticket game plus an ESPN studio show or local news channel is therefore not an officially supported Sunday Ticket multiview combination under the current documentation. The builder’s offered streams determine which eligible NFL choices are available at a given time.

- Sunday Ticket game plus other eligible NFL games: supported in principle, subject to the streams offered in the builder.
- Sunday Ticket game plus RedZone: possible only with the required Sunday Ticket and RedZone access, and when offered in the builder.
- Sunday Ticket game plus unrelated channels: not supported in Sunday Ticket multiview according to YouTube TV’s current help page.
Local or nationally televised games may not be part of Sunday Ticket, and a game can be unavailable because of location, rights, schedule, or subscription access. Customizing the layout changes how available streams are arranged; it does not expand the games Sunday Ticket carries.
How to build an NFL multiview
On a smart TV or streaming device
- Open the YouTube TV app on a supported TV or streaming device and start watching eligible multiview content.
- Press Down on the remote, then select Multiview.
- At the bottom of the screen, select content to add and choose from the streams shown in the builder.
- Select the game you want to hear. The active-audio indicator shows which pane is producing sound; the other streams continue silently.
To expand the game with active audio, select its pane and press the remote’s Select or center button. Press Back to return to multiview. YouTube TV’s instructions for multiview

On iPhone or iPad
- While watching eligible multiview content in the YouTube TV app, tap the video.
- Tap Multiview, choose a content type, and select the content to add.
- Tap a pane to change the active audio source, or use the full-screen control to expand a game.

Devices and platform restrictions
YouTube TV documents multiview on smart TVs and streaming devices, iPhone and iPad, and Android phones and tablets. It is not available in a web browser or through AirPlay. Some older devices, particularly models dating mostly from before 2018, may offer fewer customization choices or lower picture quality. YouTube TV does not provide a complete device-by-device compatibility list in the cited help information, so support should not be assumed for every model in a hardware family.

- If the builder is missing, first check that you are using the YouTube TV app rather than a browser, and that the content is eligible.
- Confirm that Sunday Ticket and, if needed, RedZone are active on the account you are watching with.
- Update the app and device software, then restart the app and device. If the feature remains unavailable, try a newer supported device or contact YouTube TV support.
What Sunday Ticket includes—and what it does not
NFL Sunday Ticket is an out-of-market package for Sunday afternoon regular-season games in the United States, with availability determined in part by the viewer’s location. It is not a package for every NFL game. Local-market games and nationally televised windows are governed by separate broadcast arrangements, and Sunday Ticket does not mean access to every Thursday night, Sunday night, Monday night, playoff, or Super Bowl game. Sunday Ticket is sold as an add-on through YouTube TV and also as a standalone subscription through YouTube Primetime Channels. YouTube TV and Sunday Ticket are separate subscription decisions. You need access to a relevant add-on to include its streams, and RedZone is not automatically part of every Sunday Ticket purchase. YouTube TV’s February 9, 2026 plan announcement said multiview remains a YouTube TV feature across its plans, while services such as Sunday Ticket are add-ons. The same announcement listed the main YouTube TV plan at $82.99 per month and the Sports Plan at $64.99 per month; its introductory offers were for eligible new users and limited periods. Is custom multiview worth paying for?
The feature is most useful when the viewer already has YouTube TV and regularly follows several out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. It can reduce channel switching and make Sunday Ticket more convenient for fans tracking multiple teams or fantasy football. Four panes can also mean small pictures, so viewers who want to follow every play closely may prefer to make one game full screen and switch when needed.

- Out-of-market team fan: Sunday Ticket may address the need to watch a team unavailable locally; custom multiview helps when other Sunday games matter too.
- Fantasy or multi-team viewer: Choosing several eligible games at once is a stronger fit than cycling through channels.
- Local one-team fan: If the team is usually available through local broadcasts, Sunday Ticket’s out-of-market coverage may add little.
- Viewer focused on other game windows: If most viewing is Thursday, Sunday night, Monday night, or postseason football, Sunday Ticket is not a substitute for those broadcasts.
- Viewer seeking mixed programming: If the goal is to combine football with unrelated channels in one grid, the Sunday Ticket multiview restriction is a meaningful drawback.
Consider the full subscription stack, not just the add-on price: someone who already pays for YouTube TV should weigh the incremental cost of Sunday Ticket, while a new subscriber should include the base plan as well. When games or controls are missing
The multiview option does not appear
Check that you are using the YouTube TV app on a supported device, that the stream is eligible for multiview, and that any required add-on is active on the same account. Update the app and device software, restart both, and try a newer device if available. Browser viewing and AirPlay are not supported for multiview, and some older hardware has fewer options.
A game or RedZone is not in the builder
This may reflect an expected restriction rather than a technical fault. Sunday Ticket multiview is for NFL combinations, the game may be local or nationally televised rather than in the Sunday Ticket package, it may not yet be an eligible live stream, or the account may lack the required subscription. RedZone requires the relevant Sunday Ticket and RedZone access.
