The YouTube TV $20 credit was real, but its redemption deadline was December 9, 2025, and that window has closed. Disney programming returned after the companies reached a new agreement on November 14, 2025. A separate Disney class-action settlement lists a September 8, 2026 claim deadline; it is not an extension of the YouTube TV credit.
What happened between YouTube TV and Disney?
The companies’ distribution agreement expired on October 30, 2025. During the dispute, Disney-owned programming was removed from YouTube TV, affecting a range of sports, news, entertainment, and children’s channels. Networks reported as affected included ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, FX, Freeform, National Geographic, SEC Network, and ACC Network. The dispute did not necessarily affect every Disney-owned property in every market. YouTube TV and Disney announced a new multi-year distribution agreement on November 14, 2025. That ended the blackout; Disney programming was restored, though local ABC restoration could take additional time in some locations. The companies’ announcements are available from YouTube TV and Disney.

How the $20 credit worked
YouTube TV offered eligible subscribers a one-time $20 credit toward a future YouTube TV bill. It was a bill credit—not a cash payment, gift card, check, permanent price cut, or necessarily a prorated refund for each missing channel. YouTube TV said the offer remained available after the agreement was reached, but only until December 9, 2025. That published deadline has passed, so subscribers should not expect to redeem the promotion now.

The original instructions differed by billing method, according to YouTube TV’s support announcement:
- Directly billed by YouTube TV: Subscribers were instructed to claim the credit through their YouTube TV account.
- Billed through Google Play or another third party: YouTube TV said the credit would be applied automatically where applicable, without manual redemption.
The announcement does not establish every eligibility edge case—for example, how canceled or paused accounts, trials, or every partner billing arrangement were handled. Do not assume eligibility or payment if your situation fell outside the stated instructions.

Archived redemption instructions
These were the historical steps, not a currently available offer: sign in at tv.youtube.com, open Settings, select Updates, then choose Claim credit and follow the confirmation prompts. The offer expired on December 9, 2025; the account may no longer show the option, and an old link may lead to an expired page or a generic support page.
If you believe you claimed the credit before the deadline but cannot find it, review your YouTube TV billing history and the records for the provider that billed you. You can contact YouTube TV support to ask whether it was applied. The published materials do not say that late claims are accepted, so support should not be treated as a way to reopen the expired offer. Former subscribers can ask support about their account, but the available announcement does not promise that a canceled account can receive the credit.

If an account shows a different or recurring discount, verify it with YouTube TV. Account-specific promotions or customer-service adjustments are separate from the published one-time $20 offer.

The Biddle et al. v. The Walt Disney Company settlement is a separate legal matter, not the YouTube TV promotion. Its official long-form notice lists September 8, 2026 as the claim deadline. A claim may require a separate filing, and eligibility, any benefit, and required documentation depend on the settlement terms. Being a YouTube TV subscriber does not by itself establish that you qualify.

For current requirements, use the official settlement administrator’s site and notice. Filing there does not redeem, preserve, or reopen the expired $20 YouTube TV credit.

What subscribers should take away
- The one-time YouTube TV credit was real, but its December 9, 2025 redemption deadline has passed.
