YouTube’s published guidance explains how to edit stream settings and manage playlists, but does not say that playlist changes automatically update a scheduled stream or specify how long an update should take. There is no documented India-specific rule for this behavior.
First, identify what is not updating
A scheduled live stream and a playlist are different YouTube objects. The stream has its own schedule and settings; the playlist has its own membership. Changing one does not necessarily mean the other’s displayed information changes. YouTube’s help pages describe both workflows but do not document automatic synchronization between playlist membership and a scheduled live stream.
- The scheduled stream looks wrong: inspect the stream in Studio and confirm you opened the intended upcoming broadcast.
- The playlist looks wrong: open the playlist itself and verify its contents and identity.
- The edit control does not respond: this is a different problem from a saved playlist change failing to appear.
Check the scheduled stream in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and select Content, then Live. Find the stream under Upcoming; do not accidentally select a similarly named live or replay item.
- Alternatively, open Go Live to enter Live Control Room, choose Manage, and select the scheduled stream.
- Inspect the stream’s own editable settings. YouTube says settings can be selected while scheduling or edited from the stream settings page. Make any necessary stream-setting changes and save them.
- Reopen the relevant Studio view and check the viewer-facing stream page. This is a practical verification step, not a YouTube-published refresh procedure or a guarantee about propagation time.
YouTube notes that a stream scheduled for later may appear in subscribers’ feeds as upcoming. That guidance concerns scheduled-stream visibility; it does not establish that playlist edits will be reflected there.
Check the playlist separately
- Open the playlist you intended to change, rather than relying on a similarly titled playlist or a saved link to another one.
- Confirm that the intended video is included and that the playlist’s current contents match your changes.
- Return to the scheduled stream and verify that you are checking the correct stream page. Playlist management and stream settings are separate controls in YouTube’s documented workflows.
YouTube’s playlist guidance does not explain whether, or when, a playlist change should alter a scheduled live stream’s presentation. If the playlist itself is correct but the stream still looks unchanged, the available published guidance does not establish a specific cause or a waiting period.

Does being in India change the workflow?
YouTube’s mobile live-streaming guidance includes India and describes finding a scheduled mobile stream through Create > Live > Calendar > Select your live stream. Its general guidance for Live Control Room and stream settings does not describe a different playlist-update rule for India. The location alone is not evidence that it caused the mismatch; the behavior may depend on the specific account, app, channel settings, or interface state, none of which can be diagnosed from the symptom alone.
If the edit control itself is stuck on Android
TeamYouTube said on September 10, 2026, that a separate issue preventing some users from editing scheduled mobile live streams in the Android YouTube app was fixed. That notice applies to an unresponsive edit control; it does not say that playlist changes failing to appear on a scheduled stream were fixed.

If you cannot edit the scheduled stream at all, update the YouTube app and see whether the problem matches that specific Android edit-control issue. If you can edit and save but the playlist-related display remains unchanged, treat that as a separate unresolved behavior.
When the mismatch remains
Send feedback through YouTube or contact support if available for your account. Include the scheduled stream URL or ID, the playlist URL, what you changed, when you changed it, the steps you followed, and your device and YouTube app or browser version. These details can help distinguish a wrong item or unsaved edit from a display or account-specific issue; they do not guarantee a particular fix.
