For ordinary gameplay streaming, YouTube supports encoder-based live streaming. A prerecorded playlist is a different workflow: the hosting service sends the selected video files as a live stream, so you do not need to be present in a live studio for playback.

Set up the scheduled rerun
- Prepare the source files. Confirm that you have the final VOD exports and that each file is permitted for rebroadcast. Decide the order and total running time before uploading; the playlist limit is 24 hours.
- Create the event in Restream. Choose the playlist option in the event setup, then select or upload the videos you want to include.
- Arrange and preview the sequence. Put the videos in the intended order and preview the result. Duplicate an entry now if you want it to appear more than once; you cannot revise membership or order once the playlist is live.
- Choose YouTube and enter event details. Set the title, description, privacy, date, and start time. Decide whether to create the YouTube event post ahead of time so viewers can find or share the scheduled event.
- Check the plan allowance and schedule. Make sure your selected add-on’s library allowance covers the assets you intend to keep there, then schedule the playlist. Do not assume that one scheduled playlist automatically repeats.

StreamYard’s prerecorded-video documentation specifies MP4 files with H.264 video, up to 10 Mbps. Paid-plan broadcasts can stream at up to 1080p. Its help page also describes plan-based limits on how many prerecorded streams can be scheduled at once; check the current limit for your plan before planning a batch of reruns. Because a prerecorded broadcast runs automatically without a studio, overlays and on-stream presentation of comments are more limited than in a normal live studio broadcast.
When StreamYard is the simpler choice
- You need one scheduled prerecorded broadcast rather than a queue of VODs.
- Your source file fits the duration, format, bitrate, and file-size limits for your plan.
- You do not need the documentation-backed playlist ordering available in Restream.
Can you rerun a gaming playlist 24/7?
Do not infer an endless loop from a feature that schedules one playlist. Restream documents playlists up to 24 hours, but the cited documentation does not establish automatic playlist repetition or an uninterrupted 24/7 schedule. Its duration guidance also distinguishes YouTube’s archive behavior from service operation: YouTube has no stated stream-duration limit, but archives only streams shorter than 12 hours; Restream notes possible maintenance or restarts above 24 continuous hours and recommends restarting every 24 hours. A long-running schedule therefore does not guarantee one uninterrupted, fully archived YouTube video.

If a recurring loop is essential, verify the vendor’s current repeat controls, restart behavior, and how each run appears in YouTube before committing. Ask whether the playlist repeats automatically, whether a restart creates a new live event, and whether the audience needs a fresh event link. The cited StreamYard documentation likewise does not establish a recurring playlist loop.

Copyright, YouTube rules, and gaming VOD rights
YouTube says live-stream content must comply with its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. That is not a clearance of the rights in any particular game, soundtrack, licensed song, voice chat, or other material included in a VOD. Before scheduling a rerun, check the permissions that apply to the game and every audio or video element in the recording; a prior upload or successful live broadcast does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it.
Replaying a recording as a live stream does not change the underlying content or settle whether it is eligible for any YouTube monetization program. The cited live-stream guidance is not a ruling on a specific channel’s copyright status or monetization eligibility.
