The Xbox Partner Preview on March 26, 2026, was a 30-minute showcase of games from Xbox’s third-party partners. Xbox Wire reported 19 games shown, including seven never-before-seen titles, and said 14 would be playable on day one with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The announcements ranged from world premieres and new gameplay to release dates and a major S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 expansion reveal.
What was announced at the March 2026 Xbox Partner Preview?
Xbox framed the broadcast as a showcase for games from external partners, with participation from Sega, GSC Game World, and Owlcat Games. Its recap counted 19 upcoming games, seven titles described as never before seen, and 14 games slated for day-one availability with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Those are Xbox Wire’s reported event figures, not independently measured totals.
The showcase opened with the world premiere of Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish and closed with Artificial Detective. Other prominent segments included a first look at Rebellion’s Alien Deathstorm, new footage of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, the first trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope, and a multi-era glimpse of RGG Studio’s Stranger Than Heaven. Xbox also announced Hades II for Xbox platforms.

Expansion news and returning worlds
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope was presented as the game’s first major expansion. Its trailer set up a conflict between Duty and Freedom and featured the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and Iron Forest. Xbox announced Summer availability on Series X|S, PC, and Cloud, and estimated more than 20 hours of story content; that playtime figure was Xbox’s announcement, not an independent measurement.

Release dates, windows, and platform arrivals
Several announcements focused on when games were expected to arrive rather than a first reveal. Other announced windows included June for Frog Sqwad, July for Wuthering Waves, and Fall 2026 for Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Forever Ago.

Xbox also announced a Summer window for Dispatch, July 13 for Ascend to Zero, 2026 for The Eternal Life of Goldman, and later in 2026 for Serious Sam: Shatterverse and Vaunted. These are historical event announcements: the recap does not establish whether each date, window, demo, or subscription offer remains current.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the platform and service labels mean
The recap lists availability game by game, and the labels are not interchangeable. A title listed for PC is not necessarily listed for console; a Cloud listing does not by itself establish console or PC support. Xbox Play Anywhere is a separate designation, as is Game Pass inclusion. The event’s 14-game day-one Game Pass Ultimate total does not mean all 19 games were included, nor does it establish that every listed Game Pass title was available on every platform or subscription tier.

For readers checking a particular game now, consult its current Xbox or publisher listing rather than relying on the event’s release window. This matters especially for announcements that named a date in 2026, a temporary demo, a beta start, or day-one subscription access.
When and how the original broadcast was available
Xbox scheduled the Partner Preview for Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern, and 5 p.m. UK time. These were the event’s original broadcast details, not a current schedule. For access, Xbox announced live subtitles on the main Xbox YouTube stream, English audio description, American Sign Language, British Sign Language on XboxOn, and regional channels. It also listed subtitle languages for the broadcast. Those details applied to the March 2026 event and do not imply that every replay or platform currently offers the same accessibility options.
