The available odds do not reveal the chance of a surprise WWE Royal Rumble return. The published examples are odds on who will win a Royal Rumble match, a different question from whether a particular absent wrestler will appear. The 2026 event is over, and the surfaced 2027 market is also a winner market—not a return market.
Return odds and winner odds are different markets
A Royal Rumble winner market asks which entrant will win the match. A return market would ask whether a named wrestler who is not expected to appear will enter or otherwise return. A wrestler’s price to win cannot establish the likelihood that they will show up: it applies only if the market is about winning, and the sources do not provide verified odds for individual surprise returns.
No sourced, verified dataset here quantifies the probability of surprise returns. There is therefore no defensible return percentage to report from these odds or from anecdotes about past Rumbles.
The 2026 Royal Rumble odds are historical
WWE announced on January 6, 2025 that the 39th annual Royal Rumble would take place in Riyadh in January 2026, marking the event’s first staging outside North America. The event took place on January 31, 2026. Netflix Tudum reports Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan as the men’s and women’s winners, respectively, and lists the entrants and results. See the event recap.

What the surfaced 2027 market does—and does not—say
A BetUS page surfaced a men’s Royal Rumble winner market for 2027. That market concerns who wins, not whether a named wrestler makes a surprise return. Bookmaker pages and prices can change, so any price should be checked directly and reported with its capture time, market, bookmaker and intended jurisdiction. Check BetUS’s Royal Rumble page.
The available source does not establish current odds on individual returns. Without a verified return-specific market, it would be misleading to translate a winner price into a return probability or present a winner as an expected surprise entrant.

Betting availability depends on jurisdiction
