Uso still created a dramatic near fall with a spear and an Uso Splash. Gunther eventually wore down the champion and applied the Sleeper Hold until Uso faded. The submission gave Gunther the victory and returned the World Heavyweight Championship to him, making Gunther a two-time holder of the title.
This was a change to the World Heavyweight Championship, not the separately named Undisputed WWE Championship held by John Cena at the time.

Sami Zayn won the King of the Ring fatal four-way
Sami Zayn advanced in the men’s tournament by defeating Bron Breakker, Penta and Dominik Mysterio. The match became chaotic around Mysterio: Breakker delivered a spear to him through or over the announce-table area, and Penta followed with a Mexican Destroyer.
LA Knight later intervened against Breakker with a BFT. With Breakker temporarily neutralized, Zayn found his opportunity, hit Mysterio with the Helluva Kick and scored the deciding fall. Zayn moved on to the King of the Ring semifinals.
AJ Styles defeated Chad Gable
AJ Styles won a competitive singles match against Chad Gable. Gable used a German suplex, a top-rope headbutt and an Ankle Lock reversal during the contest, but Styles survived and eventually countered into the Styles Clash for the victory.
CM Punk challenged John Cena
John Cena was featured prominently in one of the episode’s most important promotional segments. After Cena criticized the WWE audience, CM Punk interrupted and challenged him to an Undisputed WWE Championship match at Night of Champions.

The confrontation established a major title-program direction. It also involved the Undisputed WWE Championship, which was distinct from the World Heavyweight Championship Gunther won later in the night. WWE published the complete Cena–Punk segment as an official video.
Bayley returned and attacked Becky Lynch
Bayley returned after being injured by Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. Bayley attacked Lynch, with Lyra Valkyria also involved in the immediate presentation of the angle. The segment strengthened the developing conflict around Lynch and the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
R-Truth returned as Ron Killings
R-Truth made a surprise return and announced that “Ron Killings” had arrived. Rather than being a match result, the moment functioned as a character reset and became one of the episode’s main talking points.

How to watch WWE Raw June 9, 2025
Original U.S. broadcast
Raw originally streamed live in the United States on Netflix on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 8 p.m. Eastern / 5 p.m. Pacific. Netflix became the exclusive U.S. home of Raw beginning January 6, 2025, and live events were included with a Netflix plan rather than requiring a separate WWE pay-per-view purchase.
For the original broadcast or a replay, check the WWE Raw listing on Netflix and WWE’s official Raw results page. Netflix’s catalog is regional and can change over time, so the complete June 9 episode should not be assumed to be available in every country or on every account.
WWE’s official results page remains the best reference for the completed card and includes official clips, including the Cena–Punk segment and match highlights. A U.S. streaming guide such as JustWatch can help confirm the current service carrying Raw generally, but it is not definitive proof that every historical episode is available in a particular territory.
