Roman Reigns and John Cena are two reported examples of wrestlers whose overall ratings fell in WWE 2K25: each went from 97 in WWE 2K24 to 96 in WWE 2K25. These are confirmed comparisons, not a complete list of every rating change.
Who got downgraded in WWE 2K25?
The reported year-over-year comparisons identify two familiar names. Both lost one point in overall rating.

WrestleTalk reported Reigns at 96 in WWE 2K25, down from 97 in WWE 2K24. WhatCulture reported the same one-point decrease for Cena.
How to read the comparisons
These figures compare the overall rating of a wrestler’s corresponding roster entry across the two editions. WWE 2K25 includes alternate and era-specific versions of some performers, so entries should not be treated as equivalent just because they share a wrestler’s name. The SmackDown Hotel roster list shows the range of character entries in WWE 2K25.

The reported ratings establish the numerical changes, but not their cause. They do not show that either downgrade reflects booking, wins and losses, real-world ability, or a stated rating formula. The available comparisons also do not verify every WWE 2K25 rating change, so other wrestlers may have lower ratings without appearing in this list.
