The next main IIHF World Junior Championship runs from December 26, 2026, through January 5, 2027, in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta. The tournament is labeled the 2027 World Juniors even though its opening games take place in 2026.
Streaming rights are not yet fully published. As of August 9, 2026, the IIHF has confirmed the dates and venues—Rogers Place and Marchant Crane Centrium—but has not released a complete 2027 broadcast-partner list. The safest way to find a legal stream is to use the tournament-specific IIHF “TV & Streams” page once it is available, then verify the game on the broadcaster’s schedule.
Where to watch the 2027 World Juniors
The 2026 rights announcement is a useful guide to likely coverage, but it is not confirmation of the 2027 distribution plan.

| Other countries | Territory-specific licensed partners | Depends on the country and the rights holder | Check the IIHF “TV & Streams” page |
Canada: TSN and RDS
Recent Canadian World Juniors coverage has been distributed through TSN television networks, TSN.ca, the TSN App, and TSN’s subscription streaming products when the event is included.

TSN uses the labels TSN.ca, TSN App, and TSN+ for its online products. Do not assume that a TSN+ subscription automatically includes every World Juniors game. Check the event listing and the individual game schedule before subscribing.
The most recent IIHF rights page also listed RDS in Canada. That may provide French-language coverage again, but the 2027 availability needs to be confirmed by TSN, RDS, Hockey Canada, or the IIHF.
United States: NHL Network
NHL Network was the official U.S. broadcaster for the 2026 World Juniors. Its coverage included live games, previews, highlights, interviews, and analysis.

ESPN+ should not be described as the standard U.S. World Juniors stream without a specific 2027 announcement. The latest official World Juniors listing identified NHL Network, and NHL Network is a separate channel from ordinary NHL streaming availability.

Watching from outside Canada and the United States
World Juniors rights are sold by territory. A broadcaster available in one country may be blocked in another, even if the viewer has a valid account. The IIHF normally publishes a tournament-specific TV & Streams or broadcast-partner page identifying the licensed outlet for each country.
Do not assume that TSN+, NHL Network, or IIHF.TV works worldwide. IIHF streaming availability can depend on local rights, and a VPN does not automatically make a geographically restricted stream legally available in another territory.
How to verify a game before it starts
- Open the official IIHF tournament listing.
- Select World Juniors WM20 and the 2027 season.
- Look for the tournament’s TV & Streams or broadcast-partner page.
- Select the viewer’s country. Rights can differ even between neighboring countries.
- Open the named broadcaster’s current schedule and find the specific game.
- Check whether the listing says television, website stream, app stream, or a paid subscription product.
- Confirm the date and time in your local time zone. The tournament crosses from 2026 into 2027.
This process is more reliable than searching for a generic “World Juniors live stream,” because search results often mix old schedules, international listings, and unauthorized streams.

Why unofficial free streams are a bad option
Pages advertising “free World Juniors streams,” Crackstreams, DaddyLive, or similar services are not official IIHF, TSN, Hockey Canada, or NHL Network distribution channels. They may show an unstable feed, disappear during the game, or redirect through aggressive pop-ups and fake play buttons. Some are designed to collect passwords, payment details, or install unwanted software.
Use the IIHF tournament page and the broadcaster named for your territory. If a page does not identify a legitimate rights holder, requires several suspicious redirects, or claims to provide every game worldwide without explaining its rights, it is not a trustworthy official source.

FAQ
When are the 2027 World Juniors?
The 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship runs from December 26, 2026, through January 5, 2027. Games are scheduled for Rogers Place in Edmonton and Marchant Crane Centrium in Red Deer, Alberta.
What channel showed the World Juniors in Canada?
The latest official listing named TSN and RDS for Canada. TSN has also distributed coverage through TSN.ca, the TSN App, and selected subscription products. The 2027 rights still need to be confirmed.
How can viewers in the United States stream the World Juniors?
NHL Network was the official U.S. broadcaster for the 2026 tournament. Current NHL Network access may be available through providers such as Sling with the applicable Sports Extra arrangement or DIRECTV packages, but viewers should verify the 2027 schedule and package before subscribing.
Does IIHF.TV stream every World Juniors game worldwide?
No. Streaming rights are territory-specific. Check the official IIHF tournament “TV & Streams” page for the viewer’s country instead of assuming IIHF.TV or another service carries the event everywhere.
The Bottom Line
For the 2027 World Juniors, the dates and Alberta venues are confirmed, but a complete streaming-rights announcement is not. Canadian viewers should watch for TSN and RDS confirmation; U.S. viewers should look for NHL Network; everyone else should use the IIHF’s country-by-country “TV & Streams” page. Verify the individual game before relying on any subscription or stream.
