The report does not say that the relatives shared a home. It describes them as living nearby, so “multigenerational living,” the phrase in the Parents headline reproduced by The Blast, should not be read as confirmation of one household.
Valderrama’s hope for Nakano
Valderrama’s quoted wish was for his daughter to feel proud of her roots and respectful of where she came from. That is the clearest statement of the couple’s aim in the available account: a sense of heritage and belonging as Nakano grows up.
