International episode listings used Thursday, April 17, 2025. That date difference reflects time zones; it does not mean the episode had one universal release time on every service around the world. An episode-specific schedule report listed local times for different regions, while the Japanese schedule establishes the Japan broadcast slot. Aniplex’s official schedule cautions that broadcast and distribution times can change with programming.
Where did the episode fit into the release schedule?
Japan
Aniplex scheduled Season 2 on the MBS/TBS network and ABEMA beginning April 3, 2025, at 24:26 each Thursday. The same Aniplex schedule lists Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, U-NEXT, and other Japanese services beginning April 7 at noon, in sequence. These are Japan-market schedule details, not worldwide release dates.
#1 Best Overall
In an April 14, 2025 announcement, ABEMA described its Thursday 24:26 release as simultaneous with Japanese television and three days ahead of other streaming services. ABEMA said the latest episode was free to watch for one week after broadcast, with access also available through its paid plans. Those terms describe ABEMA’s Japan-market offering in 2025; they do not establish what is currently in its catalog. ABEMA’s announcement has the service’s schedule details.
International release announcement
The official English-language series site announced on March 5, 2025: “WIND BREAKER Season 2 premieres April 3 only on Crunchyroll!” That was the original international premiere announcement; it is not confirmation of present-day availability in a particular country. Read the official announcement.
