Is Season 5 the final season?
Yes. Netflix calls Season 5 the fifth and final season. Creator and co-showrunner Ted Humphrey and co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez said their goal was to give Mickey Haller’s story “a proper conclusion.” They also said they were building a final season that would provide “the satisfying finale Mickey Haller deserves.” Netflix’s announcement does not confirm a spin-off or continuation after Season 5.
What is Season 5 about?
The ten-episode season is inspired by Resurrection Walk, Michael Connelly’s seventh Lincoln Lawyer novel. Netflix’s announced setup centers on Mickey’s previously unknown half-sister, Emi Finch, who asks him to help free a woman convicted of murder. Mickey pursues a habeas petition seeking to overturn the six-year-old conviction. Netflix also says Lorna, Izzy, and Cisco will face high-profile challenges of their own.

The announcement provides this central premise, not a complete episode-by-episode plot or the outcome for every character. The novel can serve as a companion read, but Netflix’s description does not promise that the adaptation will follow every plot point in the book.
Who is in the Season 5 cast?
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo returns as Mickey Haller, with Cobie Smulders joining as Emi Finch. Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, and Angus Sampson are also named among the season’s stars. Netflix lists Neve Campbell, Krista Warner, Angelica Maria, and Gigi Zumbado as returning recurring guest stars.

Where does Season 5 fit in the series?
The latest released season is Season 4, which arrived on February 5, 2026. Netflix says it has ten episodes and is based on The Law of Innocence, the sixth book in Connelly’s series. Season 5 is planned for ten episodes and draws inspiration from the seventh book, Resurrection Walk.

In a separate account of the first four seasons, Netflix says production spanned 359 days and involved more than 4,300 cast and crew members.
