It is not publicly confirmed who inherited Tina Turner’s estate or what share anyone received. The often-repeated $250 million figure is a media estimate, not a verified probate valuation, and reporting reviewed in 2023 said the estate arrangements were unknown. Turner’s husband, Erwin Bach, and her two surviving adopted sons, Michael and Ike Turner Jr., were discussed as potential heirs; no confirmed will or distribution is documented in the sources available here.

What is known about Tina Turner’s reported fortune?

The $250 million figure should not be treated as the value of Turner’s estate at death. In May 2023, Ticinonline reported that Swiss business magazine Bilanz had estimated her wealth at about CHF 250 million in 2022. El Universo repeated a US$250 million estimate in May 2023, attributing it to other media reports. These are separate estimates in different currencies, and neither source establishes an official probate inventory or the amount ultimately available to heirs. Ticinonline; El Universo.

Ticinonline also reported that Turner sold music, stage-name and photograph rights to BMG in 2022. The outlet estimated the proceeds at roughly CHF 150 million; that is a media estimate, not a confirmed transaction price or a statement of cash remaining in her estate. Ticinonline.

Who were the potential heirs identified in reports?

Erwin Bach

Turner and Bach had been married since 2013. News reports described him as a likely or potential beneficiary, but they did not establish his share or confirm the terms of a will. Ticinonline; Nau.ch.

#1 Best Overall

Michael and Ike Turner Jr.

Reporting identifies Michael and Ike Turner Jr. as sons of Ike Turner whom Tina adopted or raised as her sons. Both survived her and were discussed as possible heirs. The reporting does not confirm that either was named in a will or received any particular share. Ticinonline; Nau.ch.

Craig and Ronnie

Craig and Ronnie, Turner’s biological sons, died before her. Although coverage refers to four sons, only Michael and Ike Turner Jr. were surviving sons at the time of Turner’s death. The available reporting does not establish whether descendants of Craig or Ronnie had any rights or received anything from the estate; that would require estate documentation. Nau.ch.

What do public reports say about the will?

Turner died in Switzerland on May 24, 2023. The reports cited here did not disclose a will or final distribution, so they cannot establish who inherited or how the estate was divided. El Universo; Ticinonline.

In May 2025, Le Point reported Afida Turner’s claim that Tina had told her she had set something aside for her, and that Afida had asked a lawyer to contact Bach. Those are Afida’s reported statements, not independent confirmation of a bequest or a court finding. Le Point.

How does inheritance law fit in?

Geneva’s official court guidance says an estate is distributed according to a will or, if no will is found, according to legal shares. It describes the succession court’s role in matters including estate inventories, supervision of executors and information about identifying heirs. The guidance is general: it does not establish which law governs every asset in Turner’s estate, what her will said, or who inherited. Geneva court guidance; Pouvoir judiciaire de Genève.

The court’s guidance says that a surviving spouse or registered partner and relatives can be legal heirs, with children in the first degree of kinship. It also explains that a will may change heirs or their shares subject to statutory entitlements. Those general principles are not enough to predict Turner’s outcome without knowing the applicable law, the relevant assets and circumstances, and any testamentary provisions. Geneva court guidance.
