One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchThe likeliest explanation is that a continuous 24/7 broadcast exceeded YouTube’s archive window: YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. That does not establish what happened to your replay. Check the stream in YouTube Studio and the email YouTube sent; a missing archive, a privacy change, a Content ID restriction, and a formal copyright removal are different situations.
First, find out whether the replay is missing, restricted, or removed
In YouTube Studio, open Content and select the Live tab. Find the broadcast and check its visibility, status, and any restriction details. YouTube says an archive’s privacy can be changed there and that an archive can also be deleted there. A replay that is private or restricted is not the same as one that was formally removed. YouTube Help: Archive live streams
- If the stream is listed: inspect its visibility and any details under Restrictions.
- If the stream is not listed or no replay exists: a 24-hour broadcast may not have been archived; YouTube’s guidance says streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured.
- If Studio reports a copyright removal or strike: read the accompanying YouTube email and check the channel’s copyright status in the Dashboard.
YouTube Studio’s status and the notification email are the best evidence for diagnosing this particular case. The fact that the broadcast ran continuously does not, by itself, show why its replay disappeared.
Why a 24/7 livestream replay may be unavailable
The stream exceeded YouTube’s archive guidance
YouTube Help says it can automatically archive a live stream that is less than 12 hours long, while a stream that exceeds 12 hours “may not be captured at all.” The wording is a warning, not a guarantee that every longer broadcast will be lost. Still, a continuous 24-hour stream is well beyond that threshold, making archive capture a strong possibility to check first. YouTube recommends recording a local archive as a backup. YouTube’s terms describe archiving as something a creator may be provided, rather than promising a replay for every live broadcast. Its viewer guidance likewise says that after a stream ends, a channel may post a replay or highlights. YouTube Terms of Service · YouTube Help: Watch live streams
Copyright systems acted during or after the broadcast
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content, including other copyrighted live broadcasts. If it detects a match, it can show a placeholder warning; if the content continues, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream. An archived livestream can also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast ends. YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams

For a lofi radio stream, do not assume that a track is cleared merely because it was available to stream or because you bought a license. YouTube says creators need the necessary rights, including music licensing rights. It also notes that a licensed third-party track may still interrupt a livestream unless the rights owner adds the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Check the license’s permitted uses and territories, then ask the rights holder about livestream allowlisting if needed. YouTube Terms of Service · YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams
A Content ID claim is not the same as a copyright strike
A Content ID claim can lead to outcomes such as “Includes copyrighted content,” muted audio, or blocking in some or all territories. Check the restriction details for the identified material and affected territories. A claim is distinct from a valid copyright removal request: a removal request takes down the content and applies a copyright strike. If YouTube reports a strike, read its email for the claimed material and available options. YouTube describes possible ways to resolve a strike as obtaining a retraction, completing Copyright School and waiting for expiry where applicable, or submitting a counter notification if you believe the removal was mistaken or a copyright exception applies. A counter notification is a legal process, not a routine way to clear an ordinary Content ID claim. YouTube Help: Submit a copyright removal request · YouTube Help: Understand copyright strikes
Another YouTube policy restriction applies
Live access can also be restricted for reasons that are not a copyright claim, including a Community Guidelines strike or a livestream taken down under YouTube’s policies, a match to another copyrighted live broadcast, or specified age or content restrictions. Check the exact notice and Studio status rather than inferring the reason from the broadcast’s duration. YouTube Help: Live streaming restrictions · YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams

What to do about this replay
- Open Content → Live in YouTube Studio. Record the replay’s visibility, status, and restriction details. If it is private, restricted, or still listed, follow the specific status shown rather than treating it as a deletion.
- Inspect any copyright restriction. Note the identified track or material, claimant, affected timestamps, and territories. Compare those details with the license and its permitted uses.
- Check the Dashboard and your YouTube email. Confirm whether YouTube reports a strike or a formal removal request. Use the options in the notice only if you have a good-faith basis; a counter notification has legal consequences.
- If the stream simply has no archive, plan a backup. YouTube recommends keeping a local recording. A separate local copy can preserve footage for your own use, but it cannot prevent YouTube moderation or restore an archive YouTube never captured.
How to reduce the risk on your next 24/7 broadcast
- Keep a local recording. A separately retained copy is the practical backup YouTube recommends for archive capture.
- Consider ending and restarting before the stream reaches 12 hours if retaining individual YouTube replays matters. This is a practical inference from YouTube’s duration guidance, not a guarantee that shorter segments will always archive successfully.
- Clear every track for the intended use. Confirm that the license covers livestreaming, the relevant territories, and the way you use the music. If the track is in Content ID, ask the rights holder whether your channel must be allowlisted for uninterrupted live use.
- Review Studio and email notices promptly. They distinguish an archive or visibility issue from a claim, strike, or other policy restriction.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the goal is to keep uploaded lofi videos looping on YouTube without leaving a computer running at home, StreamNeo runs the stream from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It does not make a camera feed live, and it does not change YouTube’s archive limits or copyright rules: use music you have rights to stream.
