Later accounts described Morrissey’s filings as alleging that Williams had serious medical issues and was effectively incapacitated, and that she could not validly consent to being filmed. Law Commentary also reported that an amended complaint argued the documentary was made without a legally valid contract. Those are allegations attributed to Morrissey and her filings, not findings established by the sources cited here. A&E disputed the guardian’s position, according to TMZ. Did the Wendy Williams documentary still air?
Yes. On February 23, 2024, a judge ruled that the documentary could air as planned. Lifetime’s two-part premiere was scheduled for February 24 and 25, 2024. The ruling allowed the broadcast to proceed; it did not, by itself, resolve the underlying allegations. Us Weekly.

Morrissey was identified in contemporaneous coverage as Williams’s temporary guardian.
