Why did the Foundation ask him to stop?
The Foundation’s statement, quoted by Global News and CJME, said: “While we recognize that in a free and democratic society individuals are entitled to their views and opinions and that comedy is intended to be edgy, the content, positions and opinions expressed during Mr. Schneider’s set do not align with the values of our Foundation and team.” It also apologized unconditionally after the performance and said Schneider agreed to leave immediately.
Global News reported that Schneider had been booked in 2023. Its coverage did not explain the Foundation’s vetting process or why he was selected.
