Jennifer Lopez canceled her 2024 North American tour on May 31, before it was due to open in Orlando on June 26. Live Nation said she was taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends. Ticketmaster buyers were told their refunds would be automatic; people who bought through resale services were directed to contact the seller.
What happened to the tour?
The run, most recently promoted as This Is Me… Live, was planned to travel across North America from June 26 in Orlando, Florida, through August 31 in Houston, Texas. It was tied to Lopez’s album This Is Me…Now and its companion film. In a February 15, 2024 announcement, Detroit-area venue publisher 313 Presents described a 30-plus-city tour and listed a July 31 Detroit date: 313 Presents.
Live Nation representatives confirmed the cancellation to The Associated Press on May 31. Lopez also addressed fans through her website and newsletter. AP reported both the company’s explanation and Lopez’s message: The Associated Press.
Why did Jennifer Lopez cancel the tour?
Live Nation’s public explanation was that Lopez was taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends. Lopez said she was “completely heartsick and devastated” about letting fans down and would not have canceled unless she felt it was absolutely necessary. She added that she hoped to make it up to fans and that they would be together again.

Reports also discussed ticket demand, but they do not establish weak sales as the definitive reason for the final cancellation. Vanity Fair reported that seven dates had been canceled earlier in 2024 and that many seats remained available at some planned shows. It also reported that people close to Lopez disputed poor sales as the cause, without specifying another reason. Those accounts provide context, not a settled explanation: Vanity Fair.
How to pursue a ticket refund
Contemporaneous reports said refunds for tickets bought directly through Ticketmaster would be issued automatically. ABC News and CBS News said buyers who used third-party resale services should contact the seller for details. These reports do not establish the status or timing of any individual transaction.

- Bought through Ticketmaster: The reported guidance was that the refund would be automatic.

The tour was promoted alongside This Is Me…Now and its companion film, This Is Me…Now: A Love Story. The February 2024 announcement from 313 Presents said the film would begin streaming on Prime Video on February 16, 2024.
