The band did not describe that behavior. Arevalo separately said he agreed they should go their separate ways, while also saying he had not felt respected, valued, or properly utilized. Those are distinct accounts, not a jointly established explanation.
What Goose said about the split
In its March 23 announcement, Goose said it had been made aware of behavior in Arevalo’s personal life that did not align with the band’s core values, and that he would no longer be part of the Goose organization. The statement, as reproduced by JamBase, did not identify the behavior or provide further details about the decision.

The band also described the tour following Arevalo’s February hiatus as an unexpected challenge. Its remaining four members said they had forged a deeper connection on and off stage and were inspired to keep growing together. That describes how the members viewed their future as a four-piece; it does not add specifics to the stated reason for Arevalo’s departure.
What Jeff Arevalo said
Arevalo’s response, reported by Rolling Stone, agreed that the two sides should separate. He also said he did not feel “rightly respected, valued, or properly utilized” during his time with the organization. He described pursuing opportunities that would give him more involvement in songwriting and creative direction, and a properly equitable working environment.

What is—and is not—known publicly
Goose’s statement gives its stated organizational rationale but no account of the underlying behavior. Arevalo’s remarks describe his own view of his time in the band and his plans; they do not fill in that missing detail. The available public statements therefore do not establish the specific events behind Goose’s decision, and online speculation should not be treated as confirmation.

Goose’s lineup after Arevalo
Goose said its remaining members felt a deeper connection as a four-person unit after navigating the tour and wanted to continue growing together. A relevant album from this lineup period is Everything Must Go, which Rolling Stone reported was scheduled for release on April 25, 2025, and was the band’s first album with drummer Cotter Ellis. That release context does not establish its current physical formats or availability.
