Gigi Hadid said she had never met Jeffrey Epstein and had nothing to do with him. A name appearing in a document does not, by itself, establish a relationship or wrongdoing.
Why the Hadid sisters were mentioned
E! News reported that a December 2015 email exchange included a redacted person’s question to Jeffrey Epstein about how Gigi and Bella Hadid became models and made so much money. The other person’s identity is not disclosed in the report.
The reported exchange concerned the sisters’ professional success. The available account does not establish why the sender asked about them beyond the question’s reported focus on their modeling careers and earnings.
What Gigi Hadid said
E! News reported that Hadid replied to a social-media user who challenged her for not addressing the files. Her response appeared as a comment on a March 29 Instagram post and was later deleted. Hadid said she had initially stayed silent because she did not want to draw attention away from Epstein’s victims. She also said the mention made her “sick to my stomach,” and that she had never met Epstein or had anything to do with him.

SVT Nyheter separately reported Hadid’s denial that she had ever met Epstein. The quoted wording and explanation above are reproductions reported by E! News, not quotations verified against an accessible original post.

The coverage describes an email discussion about the Hadids’ modeling careers. It does not establish that either sister met Epstein, had a personal or professional relationship with him, or was involved in his crimes. Gigi Hadid explicitly denied meeting or having anything to do with him. The sender’s identity remains redacted in the reporting, and the email’s mention of the sisters should not be treated as proof of a connection.
A separate accessible Department of Justice filing, Giuffre v. Maxwell, Document 605-1, was filed on February 9, 2017. It is not the reported December 2015 email exchange and does not establish that exchange’s wording or full context.
