These are network listings. Affiliate stations set their own local schedules, and a station in another time zone will show the same programs at a different clock time.
Why the season ending explains the gap
A season finale closes the run of new competition episodes until the next season begins. Season 21 ended on September 23, so the October 8 lineup contains no new AGT competition episode. The absence is a result of the season’s conclusion, not an unexplained change to the schedule.

Can a local station air an AGT rerun?
Yes, re-airings are a normal part of network television, and NBC’s help material confirms that re-airings happen. However, the official listings available as of October 8, 2026 do not identify an America’s Got Talent rerun episode or air time on any particular station. Nobody can name tonight’s episode from the national schedule alone.
To find out what your own station is showing:
- Open your local station’s website or app and check its primetime listing for Thursday, October 8.
- If you use a cable, satellite, or streaming TV service, check the channel’s program guide for the same evening.
- Read the episode description. A listing that is marked as a rerun or carries an earlier original air date is a repeat.
If you vote for an act during a re-airing, the vote will not count. NBC’s help page states that voting is not counted during re-airings.
When does AGT return?
NBC has not announced a Season 22 premiere date in the official schedule material available as of October 8, 2026, so there is no confirmed return date to report. Do not rely on the show’s former weekly slot. An NBC show page that still appeared in search results described Season 20 (2025) as airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Central. That is older page language and does not establish a current airtime or a Season 22 schedule.

- Next day on Peacock: The official America’s Got Talent channel describes next-day viewing on Peacock. Availability, timing, and access requirements may vary by episode and platform.
- NBC.com and the NBC app: NBC says new episodes are typically posted in the early hours after broadcast. Release timing varies, and scheduled breaks can change when an episode appears.
Use the live broadcast when you want the episode on the night it airs, and use the streaming options if you missed it.
