What the 2025 estimate says about Dua Lipa
The Sunday Times Rich List estimate, reported by The Independent and Heart, placed Dua Lipa at £115 million and 34th overall on the 2025 40 Under 40 list. The list’s age test was being 40 or under on 1 May 2025; Lipa was 29. The figure therefore answers the question using a named, dated wealth ranking, rather than establishing who is richest among every artist who meets the headline’s age limit.
What counts as a British artist?
“British artist” can refer to citizenship, birthplace, or where someone lives and works. For this article, it means a British entertainer working in music or performance, rather than every person in the 40 Under 40 list. The list spans business, sport, music and entertainment, so it is not a census of artists. Its broader reporting also notes that some people on the overall Rich List are not British citizens but live and work in the UK; that inclusion rule should not be mistaken for a definition of British artist.
How the Sunday Times estimates wealth
The Rich List describes its estimates as based on identifiable wealth: land, property, other assets such as art and racehorses, and significant stakes in publicly quoted companies. It excludes bank accounts the newspaper cannot access. As a result, £115 million is a ranking-methodology estimate, not an audited personal balance sheet or a figure Lipa has necessarily disclosed herself.

The 40 Under 40 is an age-bounded list, not an artists-only ranking. Its compiler, Robert Watts, described it as showcasing people from “the worlds of tech, fashion, music and sport.” An entry’s place in that list does not by itself prove that its wealth came entirely from artistic work; some entries also involve family wealth or shared fortunes.
Why older celebrity-rich lists do not give a like-for-like comparison
A 2021 Heat survey, reported by Rolling Stone UK, estimated Ed Sheeran’s wealth at £236.5 million and Harry Styles’s at £80 million. Those figures are historical and should not be merged with the Sunday Times estimate into one current ranking: they came from a different publication and survey, with a different date and method. Sheeran had turned 30 in February 2021, and the report said the list might reflect wealth across the whole year. The apparent difference between those estimates and Lipa’s 2025 figure is not a direct measure of changes in relative wealth.

Is there a complete 2026 ranking?
The available evidence does not establish a complete 2026 list of British artists aged 30 or younger. The most defensible answer is therefore a 2025 snapshot: Dua Lipa, then 29, with an estimated £115 million in the Sunday Times Rich List reporting. It should not be presented as a verified 2026 ranking or as her current net worth.
