Krista Allen was announced as the 2021 recast of Dr. Taylor Hayes, the character previously played by Hunter Tylo. Allen’s first appearance was scheduled for December 10, 2021. She is no longer the performer listed for the role: CBS’s current cast page names Rebecca Budig as Taylor Hayes.
When did Krista Allen take over as Taylor Hayes?
On October 27, 2021, TheWrap reported that CBS had confirmed Allen’s casting. The report said her first appearance was scheduled for December 10, 2021; Soap Opera Digest also reported that debut date.
Allen took over a role associated with Hunter Tylo, who played Taylor from 1990 until her 2019 exit, according to TheWrap’s contemporaneous report. In the story, Taylor’s absence was explained as missionary work outside the United States. That was the character’s storyline, not an account of Tylo’s real-life activities.
Who is Dr. Taylor Hayes?
Taylor is a psychiatrist whose relationships connect her to the Forrester family. Her story has included a past relationship with Ridge and her children, Steffy and Thomas. Paramount Press Express’s Taylor Hayes biography provides official character context.
