There is no well-supported, current public inventory of cars Scarlett Johansson personally owns. Online lists name models including an Audi Q5, but the sources reviewed do not establish them as confirmed possessions. The BMW X3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé associated with Black Widow are film vehicles, not evidence of Johansson’s private garage.
What cars does Scarlett Johansson own?
The available reporting does not support a definitive answer. A 2024 VIPFortunes article lists several vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz V-Class Viano, Mini Cooper JCW and Audi Q5, but its Viano claim is explicitly speculative: the article says it believes Johansson has security personnel and that she “must have had” a Viano. That is not confirmation of ownership. VIPFortunes’ 2024 list should be read as unverified reporting, not a verified garage inventory.
A 2021 article from Robb Report en Español also mentions an Audi Q5 and suggests Johansson favors German cars, while distinguishing her personal vehicle from the BMW X3 in Black Widow. It attributes the personal-car claims to other media rather than citing a direct statement from Johansson. Robb Report en Español’s article therefore does not establish what she owns now.
- Confirmed current personal collection: not established by these sources.
- Reported personal-car models: Audi Q5 and other vehicles appear in secondhand or speculative coverage; treat the claims as unverified.
- Cars in the film: separately documented production vehicles, not proof of Johansson’s ownership.
Which BMWs appear in Black Widow?
BMW Group’s June 25, 2021 media information identifies the BMW X3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé as vehicles featured in the film. BMW described the X3’s appearance as its Marvel Cinematic Universe debut and presented both models as part of the company’s collaboration with Marvel Studios. BMW’s film announcement documents their on-screen connection; it says nothing about Johansson owning either car.

- Brand new box. Real rubber tires. True-to-scale detail. Detailed interior, exterior. Officially licensed product. Does not have any openings. Comes in plastic display showcase. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Dimensions approximately L-2.875 inches long.
BMW also reported that original vehicles from the film were sent to a special exhibition at BMW Welt in Munich around the movie’s 2021 release. That is a dated report of an exhibition, not confirmation that the cars remain on display today.
How many X3s were used for the chase?
In a July 2021 behind-the-scenes report, Top Gear said 13 BMW X3s were used or sacrificed for the Budapest chase sequence. It also reported that the main stunt cars had electronic handbrakes replaced with hydraulically actuated ones. These are production details about the film’s action sequence, not part of Johansson’s car collection. Top Gear’s report describes the chase and its stunt-car modifications.
What car does Black Widow drive?
In a GamesRadar+ interview about Natasha Romanoff’s look and disguises, Johansson said, “we decided she definitely drives a black Corvette.” The context is the fictional character’s design: the quote identifies Natasha’s car, not Johansson’s personal vehicle. Read the GamesRadar+ interview.
Rank #2
- Authentically licensed product directly from Marvel
- The paintjob of this 1:24 scale 1966 Chevy Corvette has been inspired by the Black Widow herself
- Crafted from durable materials such as 100% die - cast metal and premium rubber tires.
- Our high - end casting method allows for feature rich details, such as opening hood, doors, and trunk
- This premium die - cast model is a must have for any Marvel collection
That distinction matters because a character’s car, a vehicle used in filming, and an actor’s privately owned car are three different things. The film’s BMWs are documented by BMW and Top Gear; the black Corvette is described as Natasha’s; none of those facts establishes Johansson’s own inventory.

Celebrity-car lists can combine reported purchases, vehicles seen at public arrivals, character cars and cars supplied for production or promotion. Those are not interchangeable forms of evidence. In this case, the personal-car articles do not provide direct confirmation from Johansson, while the strongest vehicle documentation concerns the movie.
Disney’s June 15, 2021 film feature identifies Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and discusses the film and cast. Its announcement of a planned July 9, 2021 theatrical and Disney+ Premier Access release is historical release information, not evidence of current streaming availability or car ownership.
