Vander is a protector and father figure in Arcane, Riot Games’ animated series based on League of Legends. The English-language voice actor credited for him is JB Blanc. Spoiler warning: Vander’s connection to Warwick is a major reveal in season two.
Who is Vander in Arcane?
Vander is presented as a resilient protector and father figure. That characterization is reflected in the show’s production: character design lead Arnaud Baudry said the team developed him as “a particularly resilient person and extremely resistant to suffering.” Netflix’s season-two behind-the-scenes feature discusses how that quality shaped the character.
Arcane is Riot Games’ animated series based on League of Legends. Riot identifies Christian Linke as a co-creator and showrunner of the series. Riot’s profile of Linke provides that production context.
Who voices Vander?
JB Blanc is credited as Vander’s English-language voice actor. A season-two episode listing also credits Blanc as Warwick; Netflix’s production feature corroborates Blanc’s association with Vander. The available credits support these identifications, but do not establish a complete season-by-season credit history. The episode-five listing names the roles, while Netflix’s feature covers the character’s development.

Arcane season-two spoiler: Vander and Warwick
In season two, Vander’s story becomes tied to Warwick. Netflix’s production feature says Singed brings Vander back and turns him into Warwick. It also explains that Linke had the idea early on that Vander would become Warwick, and that the production kept Warwick’s traits and facial features close to Vander’s to support the story.
This is both a story reveal and a design choice: Vander is characterized as a human protector, while Warwick’s animal-inspired features signal the transformation. The production feature describes how the creative team connected the two, rather than treating them as unrelated characters.
