Is Lorenzo Lamas still married?
Yes, as of October 8, 2026. The divorce had not been finalized by that date. The most recent report, from TMZ in July 2026, said the case was moving on an accelerated schedule with an expected end date in November 2026. No report reviewed confirms that the November finalization has occurred.
If you are checking after November 2026, look for a final judgment in the Los Angeles Superior Court record or for later entertainment coverage that confirms it. An accelerated schedule is a court decision about timing, not a finding that the divorce is complete.

What the divorce filing says
TMZ’s July 2025 report paraphrased the grounds for divorce as “irreconcilable differences,” based on documents it said it had obtained. That wording is court-filing language as reported by TMZ, not a personal explanation from Lamas or Scott. Neither party has been quoted in the coverage reviewed explaining the split in their own words.
The 2021 quote about Kenna
RTVE reproduced one short sentence attributed to Lamas in his interview with People while discussing Scott in 2021: “Es el amor de mi vida,” which translates as “She is the love of my life.” RTVE’s surrounding passage contains translation and wording problems, so only that single sentence should be quoted, and it should be attributed to RTVE’s report of the People interview rather than to a verified English transcript.

Why the name and dates vary across coverage
Most of the inconsistency comes from two places. The first is the surname, which appears as Smith in some pre-marriage coverage and Scott in later reporting. The second is the timeline: some secondary summaries list the marriage as lasting from 2023 to 2025, but that conflicts with the court-process reporting, which places the legal end of the marriage in November 2026. When a source and the court-process reporting disagree, the more recent court-process reporting is the better guide, and it is the basis for the status described above.
