Gyutaro is a demon in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Daki’s older brother. He appears in the Entertainment District Arc as the other half of the Upper Six, the pair of demons ranked just below the upper tier of the Twelve Kizuki. In Japanese he is voiced by Ryota Osaka, and in English by Brandon McInnis. The official sources behind this guide describe his fighting style as sickles and poison.
Who Gyutaro is in the story
Gyutaro is one of the demons who fight Tanjiro and other Demon Slayers during the Entertainment District Arc. The official anime character profile calls him “the other Upper Six demon.” SEGA’s official character page for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles uses similar wording, describing him as “the other half of Upper Six of the Twelve Kizuki.” Both descriptions place him as a partner to Daki rather than a separate, standalone rank.
Is Gyutaro Daki’s brother?
Yes. Gyutaro is Daki’s older brother, and the two share the Upper Six position. Readers searching for the pair should treat them as a single rank with two demons, not two separate rankings.
How Gyutaro fights
SEGA’s official game page describes Gyutaro attacking Tanjiro and other Demon Slayers with sickles and poison. Those two elements are the only combat details the official character descriptions give, so this guide does not attribute a named technique or power ranking to him.

Who voices Gyutaro
Gyutaro has two voice credits, one for each language version. The credits do not overlap, so the Japanese performance is not the English one, and the reverse is also true.
| Language version | Voice actor | Where the credit appears |
|---|---|---|
| Japanese | Ryota Osaka | Official anime character profile; SEGA game character page |
| English | Brandon McInnis | Official anime character profile |
The anime’s official English site announced Osaka’s casting on January 16, 2022. In that announcement he said:
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.“I’m Ryota Osaka and I will be voicing the character Gyutaro. Though I felt a lot of pressure voicing such an important role of an Upper Rank Demon, I’m going to give it my all by approaching the character in my own way and with the help of my fellow castmates. I hope everyone enjoys the show until the very end.”

The official descriptions do not explain Gyutaro’s human life, how he became a demon, or how his storyline ends. This guide leaves those out. If you want the arc’s outcome or his origin, read the manga or watch the anime, and treat any plot summary you find elsewhere with care. Episode numbers and streaming availability vary by region and change over time, so confirm them on the anime’s official site before you watch.
