If you mean the 1975 Antonioni film
David Locke is a journalist who takes on the identity of a dead man he encountered while traveling. The plot’s identity switch sets up a film about a man trying to escape his existing life, rather than a conventional mystery about the dead traveler alone. Antonioni called it his most stylistically mature film and described it as political, concerned with “the dramatic rapport of the individual in today’s society.” The official Sony page says the film is available on DVD; confirm the edition and current availability before buying.
If you mean the 2023 Carter Smith film
This is a separate thriller, not an Antonioni remake. Its premise centers on Randy and Benson’s workplace relationship and the violent event that forces Randy to confront his past. The official Paramount Pictures page lists a 99-minute runtime. A separate Paramount Global Content catalog entry gives 120 minutes for Passenger, The (catalog listing). The listings do not explain the discrepancy, so the runtime cannot be stated as one settled figure without identifying the release or version.

If you mean the 2026 film Passenger
André Øvredal’s supernatural horror film has a different title spelling—without “The”—and a distinct premise involving a presence that follows a young couple after a highway accident. Paramount’s dated U.S. press release says wide theatrical release began May 22, 2026, followed by an exclusive Paramount+ streaming premiere on August 20, 2026. Those are U.S. release details; streaming availability can differ by territory and change over time.

Cormac McCarthy’s The Passenger
Specify the author when searching or ordering, since several books and films share similar titles. Penguin Random House lists the paperback edition as published September 26, 2023: 448 pages, ISBN 9780307389091. The hardcover and ebook publication date is October 25, 2022.

Alexandra Bracken’s Passenger
This is a different book, titled Passenger without “The.” Disney Books lists the young-adult novel at 512 pages, ISBN 9781484715772, with a January 5, 2016 release date.
