In the United States, General Hospital streams on Hulu. A regular Hulu plan is for watching episodes on demand after they air; to watch ABC live through Hulu, you need Hulu + Live TV, and your local ABC affiliate must be available in your area. ABC’s official show page also points viewers to Hulu.
Where can you stream General Hospital?
Hulu is the direct streaming option for current General Hospital episodes in the U.S. Its series listing currently includes Season 63 material. That listing does not mean the entire run of the soap, which began in 1963, is available: Hulu may offer a selection of recent episodes and extras rather than a complete archive.
Hulu is an on-demand service, so its standard subscription is suited to viewers who can watch after the ABC broadcast. A basic Hulu plan does not include the live ABC feed. For that, you need a live-TV service or a local ABC broadcast.

Check Hulu’s ABC page and its current Premium plan details before subscribing. Premium is generally ad-free for the Hulu library, but Hulu notes that some programs can still have short ad breaks before or after an episode because of streaming rights. Live TV also includes the advertising that airs with live programming.
For most viewers who only want to catch up after the broadcast, Hulu With Ads is the more economical fit. Hulu + Live TV costs substantially more and makes sense mainly if you also want live channels and broader TV access. Hulu’s live-TV offer currently states a three-day trial for eligible customers; confirm terms on the plan page.

Can you watch General Hospital live?
Yes, if you receive your local ABC station. Options include an antenna, a cable or satellite package, or a live-TV streaming service that carries the affiliate. Hulu + Live TV includes ABC in markets where Hulu carries the local station, but the channel lineup varies by ZIP code. Check local-channel availability before signing up; do not assume every subscriber gets the same ABC station.
Hulu + Live TV is different from a standard Hulu subscription: it is the Hulu product relevant to live ABC. If ABC is not available in your market through Hulu, consider an antenna if reception allows, or check your existing TV provider. A cable subscription that includes ABC does not automatically provide the full Hulu on-demand library.

When do new episodes appear on Hulu?
ABC’s support information identifies Hulu as the destination for full episodes on a next-day schedule. New episodes are generally available on Hulu after their ABC broadcast, typically the next day, but posting time and availability can change. Do not rely on a specific clock time or assume an episode will appear immediately after it airs. Check the official ABC episode page if you are looking for a particular installment.
If today’s episode is not yet listed, it may not have posted to the on-demand catalog. If you need to watch the broadcast live, use ABC through a local station or a live-TV plan that carries it.

Can you watch it free on ABC.com?
ABC’s website may offer some episode access, but it is not a dependable free substitute for Hulu. Availability can be limited or change over time, and certain content may require a participating TV-provider login. ABC’s current guidance points viewers to Hulu for full episodes and next-day viewing. Check the current episode page for its access terms rather than assuming a free, permanent archive.
Does Disney+ include General Hospital?
A Disney bundle that includes Hulu gives you the Hulu access relevant to watching General Hospital. Disney+ alone should not be treated as guaranteed access to the show. Bundles can involve separate services and apps, and content presentation or app integration can change. Confirm that the specific plan includes Hulu, then use Hulu or the currently supported viewing route for the series.

Which option should you choose?
- Cheapest direct on-demand option: Hulu With Ads, if you are happy to watch after the ABC broadcast.
- Fewer regular library ads: Hulu Premium, with the caveat that some titles can still have rights-related ad breaks.
- Live ABC: Hulu + Live TV only if it carries your local ABC affiliate; check by ZIP code first.
- You already have cable or satellite: Check whether it includes local ABC and whether your provider credentials unlock ABC.com content. That does not necessarily include Hulu’s catalog.
- You are outside the U.S.: Check local listings and rights. Hulu and ABC availability differ by country, and the U.S. answer does not establish availability in Canada, the U.K., Australia, or elsewhere.
If Hulu does not show the episode
- Search the exact title, General Hospital, rather than a character or storyline.
- Open the official Hulu series page in a browser to confirm the current listing.
- Make sure your account includes Hulu access; a Disney+ subscription by itself may not.
- Check ABC’s episode page for current access options. If you are looking for an older episode, it may no longer be in the current selection.
- For live viewing, verify local ABC availability with your ZIP code. If Hulu does not carry the station, check an antenna or your TV provider.
