Mark Ruffalo, Wanda Sykes and Natasha Lyonne wore anti-ICE pins on the red carpet at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards on January 11, 2026. Jean Smart and Ariana Grande wore pins inside the ballroom; Smart’s was visible as she accepted her award, according to the Associated Press.

The pins displayed the messages “BE GOOD” and “ICE OUT,” the AP reported.
What the protest pins represented
AP reported that the pin campaign paid tribute to Renée Good, who was fatally shot in Minneapolis by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer earlier that week. Organizers also honored Keith Porter, who was fatally shot in Los Angeles by an off-duty ICE officer on New Year’s Eve, according to the same AP coverage.
Who organized the pin effort?
The Associated Press identified Nelini Stamp of Working Families Power as one of the organizers. Stamp said: “We need every part of civil society, society to speak up. We need our artists. We need our entertainers. We need the folks who reflect society.”
