The Jimmy Kimmel Live donation center was a temporary collection site on the show’s Hollywood backlot at 6901 Hawthorn Ave., Los Angeles. It operated January 13–17, 2025, and is no longer an active donation site. The show collected requested supplies for people affected by the Los Angeles fires; anyone looking to help now should follow current guidance from official relief organizations.
Where the donation center was and when it operated
ABC7 reported that the center opened on January 13, 2025, at 6901 Hawthorn Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90028. Its published schedule was 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through January 17. Those dates and hours describe the 2025 drive only; they are not current operating information. ABC7’s January 14, 2025 report covered the opening as the show returned to its studio after evacuating during the fires.

- New toiletries and hygiene products
- New socks and underwear

How the donations were distributed
The Walt Disney Company said staff, friends, and fans collected nearly 70,000 items during the week-long drive on the show’s Hollywood backlot. Disney reported that the Kimmel team first brought donations to a pop-up distribution center in Altadena for people with immediate needs. At the end of the week, two five-ton truckloads went to a soundstage on Disney’s Burbank studio lot, where Disney VoluntEARS counted and sorted the items for further distribution. These totals are Disney’s reported figures, not an independently audited count. Disney’s January 29, 2025 account describes the drive and distribution.
How to help with disaster relief now
Donation needs and receiving sites change over time. The City of Los Angeles said its listed donation locations requested goods based on reported community needs and asked donors to use those sites rather than drop items elsewhere. That was municipal guidance published January 11, 2025; it should not be read as confirmation that those locations or requests remain active. The City’s announcement explains the approach.

It names the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, and California Community Foundation as examples. Before delivering physical goods to any relief site, confirm that it is open and that it has specifically requested the item. A current request is more useful than assuming that a list from a past drive still applies.
