The Guernsey Film Fest programme identifies À Bétôt? Goodbye?, also described as Jèrriais – A Language on the Edge of Silence, as a 100-minute documentary. Annigna Kennedy and Tom Kennedy are credited as co-directors. Its subject is Jèrriais, the language’s speakers and efforts to revitalise it.
The programme information points readers to Little River Pictures for more information. That reference is a contact lead, not a viewing link. It does not demonstrate that the documentary has a public player, a transactional video page or a home-video edition.

What the title does not tell you
A festival or cultural-venue listing can remain visible after a screening has ended. “Book now” and “Book Free Tickets” referred to admission to the dated events, not to an ongoing film service. A page that still describes the film or retains an old booking button should therefore be read as event documentation unless it clearly offers a current, rights-cleared viewing option.

How to look for a legitimate post-screening release
Use the following sequence so that you are checking the people most likely to know the rights status, rather than relying on an unverified search result.
- Start with the production contact. Ask Little River Pictures whether À Bétôt? Goodbye? has a current digital, physical or educational-licensing release. Request the exact viewing method, territory, language and subtitle information, price (if any), and the date on which access expires.
- Ask the presenting organisations about the next event. Contact the Jersey Arts Centre, Jersey Festival of Words, Jersey Museum’s AV Theatre and the Parish of St Mary. Ask whether another public screening is scheduled and whether tickets will be sold through a current event page. Do not treat an old 18 September or 9 October listing as a future opportunity.

Jersey Arts Centre’s 2026 Channel Islands short-film programme lists two relevant works. Vraiqu’sie is described as a Jèrriais piece with a Jèrriais-song soundtrack. On The Farm / Sus La Ferme is a short documentary featuring native speaker Dâvi Mâthet.
The programme copy describes the showcase as “A short Jèrrais documentary, a playful music video, dramas (serious and darkly humorous), a fantasy film from Guernsey and a documentary look at life on Jersey.” This is the venue’s description of the programme, not a statement that every item is available online.

Because the showcase entries do not give a continuing player or home-release notice, contact the Jersey Arts Centre for a future screening date or a rights-holder referral. Ask specifically for the title and format you want; a programme containing several shorts does not mean that all of them share the same distributor or availability.

A separate report says that the Badlabecques song “Hauchons (We Rise)” is available to stream and appears in À Bétôt? Goodbye?. That is evidence of a stream for the song, not for the documentary. Opening the song’s service page will not establish that the 1-hour-40-minute film is available there.
The same distinction applies to trailers, festival clips, social-media excerpts and soundtrack videos. To count as a film release, an official page should identify the complete work, its runtime or edition, the rights holder or authorised platform, and the terms under which viewers may watch it.

How to assess a future viewing offer
When a new link appears, classify it before assuming it answers your question.
