Where each Michael Myers movie is streaming
The table includes every released feature film in which Michael Myers appears. “Channel” listings generally mean an add-on subscription through a larger platform, while services such as Philo, fuboTV, and YouTube TV are live-TV or streaming television packages rather than ordinary standalone movie libraries.
| Film | Latest verified U.S. options | Continuity note |
|---|---|---|
| Halloween (1978) | Subscription/live streaming: AMC+, Shudder, Philo, fuboTV, YouTube TV, and AMC+ or Shudder channel bundles were listed. Free-with-ads availability was also reported on Xumo Play and other catalog services. Rent or buy: Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. |
The essential starting point and the foundation for every major Michael Myers continuity. |
| Halloween II (1981) | Subscription streaming: No current option appeared in the latest snapshot. Rent or buy: Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. |
The direct continuation of the 1978 film. It is not the same movie as Rob Zombie’s Halloween II (2009). |
| Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) | Subscription/live streaming: AMC+, Shudder, Philo, YouTube TV, and related AMC+/Shudder channel offerings. Rent or buy: Digital rental and purchase listings were also available. |
Starts the Jamie Lloyd storyline after Halloween III. |
| Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) | Subscription/live streaming: AMC+, Shudder, Philo, YouTube TV, and related channel offerings. Rent or buy: Digital rental and purchase listings were available. |
Continues directly from Halloween 4. |
| Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) | Subscription streaming: Availability reports conflict. Some listings showed Max or Max-related access, while another recent guide reported no available subscription stream. Rent or buy: Digital rental or purchase is the safer fallback. |
The final film in the Halloween 4–6 continuity. Verify Max directly before subscribing for this title. |
| Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) | Subscription streaming: Max, Max Amazon Channel, Cinemax, Cinemax Apple TV Channel, and related listings. Rent or buy: Digital rental and purchase options were also listed. |
Uses the 1978 film and 1981’s Halloween II as its backstory, ignoring Halloween 4, Halloween 5, and Curse. |
| Halloween: Resurrection (2002) | Subscription streaming: Max, Max Amazon Channel, Cinemax, Cinemax Apple TV Channel, and related listings. Rent or buy: Digital rental and purchase options were listed. |
The sequel to H20 within that continuity. |
| Halloween (2007) | Streaming: MovieSphere+ Amazon Channel and free-with-ads services appeared in the latest snapshot. Rent or buy: Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. |
Rob Zombie’s remake is a separate continuity, not a sequel to the 1978 film. |
| Halloween II (2009) | Streaming: YouTube TV, MovieSphere+ Amazon Channel, and Pluto TV with ads. Rent or buy: Digital rental and purchase listings were also available. |
Rob Zombie’s follow-up to his 2007 remake, not the 1981 sequel. |
| Halloween (2018) | Subscription streaming: No free-streaming option appeared in the latest snapshot. Rent or buy: Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. |
A direct sequel to the 1978 original that ignores all earlier sequels. |
| Halloween Kills (2021) | Subscription streaming: No current free-streaming option appeared in the latest title-level snapshot. Rent or buy: Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. |
The second entry in the 2018–2022 continuity. |
| Halloween Ends (2022) | Subscription streaming: Netflix and Netflix Standard with Ads. Netflix’s own title page confirmed its catalog presence. Rent or buy: Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Fandango At Home, and other digital stores. |
The concluding entry in the 2018–2022 trilogy. |
About Peacock: An older Peacock editorial page previously listed Halloween Kills in its catalog, but that older provider-level reference should not override the newer title-level snapshot. Do not assume that Kills or Ends is currently on Peacock without checking the title directly.

The best watch order for a first-time viewer
For most newcomers, watch these four films:
- Halloween (1978)
- Halloween (2018)
- Halloween Kills (2021)
- Halloween Ends (2022)
This is the cleanest modern route. The 2018 film is a direct sequel to the original and resets the earlier sequel history. Kills and Ends then continue that version of events. You get the original’s central premise, Laurie Strode’s later history, and the complete recent trilogy without having to navigate three abandoned timelines first.
Complete Michael Myers marathon in release order
A completionist should use release order. It avoids repeatedly jumping backward and forward between separate continuities:
- Halloween (1978)
- Halloween II (1981)
- Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
- Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)
- Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
- Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
- Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
- Halloween (2007)
- Halloween II (2009)
- Halloween (2018)
- Halloween Kills (2021)
- Halloween Ends (2022)
This order makes the franchise’s repeated resets easier to understand. It also explains why the same character, Laurie Strode, can have several incompatible histories across the series.
Watch by continuity instead

- Friday the 13th - 8 Movie Collection - Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 3D / The Final Chapter / A New Begin
This is the longest connected storyline in the original run. Halloween III: Season of the Witch is skipped because it is an anthology story and does not feature Michael Myers.
The Laurie Strode and H20 continuity
Halloween (1978) → Halloween II (1981) → Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) → Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
H20 treats the first two movies as canon and disregards the Jamie Lloyd sequels. Resurrection follows H20.
Rob Zombie’s continuity
Halloween (2007) → Halloween II (2009)
These are a remake and its follow-up, with their own version of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. They should not be inserted after the 1978 or 1981 films as though they were the next chapters in that storyline.

The 2018–2022 continuity
Halloween (1978) → Halloween (2018) → Halloween Kills (2021) → Halloween Ends (2022)
This timeline treats the original 1978 film as the only earlier chapter and ignores every sequel released between 1981 and 2009.
Which service should you check first?
- You already have AMC+ or Shudder: Check the 1978 original, Halloween 4, and Halloween 5 first. The latest snapshot also listed related AMC+ and Shudder channel offerings.
- You already have Max: Check H20 and Resurrection. You can also search for The Curse of Michael Myers, but its availability was inconsistent across recent listings, so confirm it before counting on Max for that film.
- You already have Netflix: Halloween Ends was confirmed on Netflix’s own title page, including Netflix Standard with Ads. Netflix does not therefore provide the complete franchise.
- You only want one unavailable movie: A digital rental is usually more efficient than adding another monthly subscription. For example, you can rent Halloween Kills rather than subscribing to a service solely to find that its catalog has changed.
- You want the entire 12-film marathon: Expect to combine subscriptions with several rentals or purchases. A physical set or individually purchased editions may be more dependable than maintaining multiple services for a single weekend.
Digital rentals versus buying a physical collection
The films are spread across unrelated rights packages. That makes transactional viewing—renting or buying an individual title—particularly useful for the 1981 sequel, H20-era entries, the two Rob Zombie films, and the 2018 trilogy when they are not included in a subscription you already pay for.
Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home recur as rental or purchase outlets across the title-level listings. Remember that a listing on Amazon Video is not automatically a subscription stream: check whether the page says rent, buy, or watch through a channel.

For collectors, Universal’s official home-entertainment materials promote a Halloween Trilogy Blu-ray containing Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends. That is useful for the modern trilogy, but it is not a complete 12-film Michael Myers collection. Older films generally require title-specific Blu-ray, DVD, or 4K editions—or separate digital purchases.

- Search the exact year. Use “Halloween 1978,” “Halloween II 1981,” or “Halloween II 2009.” The two films titled Halloween II are different movies.
- Check the watch method. A page may show subscription streaming, a channel add-on, a live-TV package, a free-with-ads option, rental, and purchase as separate choices.
- Confirm your region and plan. This guide is U.S.-specific, and channel availability can vary by platform and subscription tier.
- Check the title page, not only a franchise page. Catalog pages and editorial articles can remain online after a film leaves a service. The title-level listing is the better final check.
- Compare the total cost. If one or two films are missing from your existing services, renting them may cost less than adding another monthly subscription.
Why Halloween III is not in the list
Halloween III: Season of the Witch is a Halloween-branded anthology entry, not a Michael Myers movie. It has a separate story, characters, and killer premise, so it is intentionally excluded from a guide titled around films featuring Michael Myers.
You can add it to a broader Halloween franchise marathon as a curiosity, ideally between Halloween II and Halloween 4 in release order. Its absence from the Myers list is not an omission; it is the one numbered theatrical entry without Michael Myers as the killer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I watch all 12 Michael Myers movies on one streaming service?
Not according to the latest U.S. availability snapshot. The films are divided among AMC+/Shudder, Max-related services, Netflix, ad-supported platforms, live-TV packages, and digital rental or purchase stores. A combination of services, rentals, or physical media is more realistic for a complete marathon.
Is Halloween III: Season of the Witch a Michael Myers movie?
No. It is an anthology entry with a separate story and does not feature Michael Myers as the killer. It can be added to a broader franchise marathon, but it should not be counted among the 12 Myers films.
Best Value
- Brand New in box. The product ships with all relevant accessories
Are the 1981 and 2009 movies both called Halloween II?
Yes. Halloween II (1981) directly follows the 1978 original. Halloween II (2009) is Rob Zombie’s follow-up to his 2007 remake. They belong to different continuities.
What is the shortest watch order?
Watch Halloween (1978), Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021), and Halloween Ends (2022). The 2018 film resets the earlier sequel history and begins the modern continuity.
The Bottom Line
For a first watch, start with Halloween (1978) and follow the 2018–2022 trilogy. For a full Michael Myers marathon, use release order and expect fragmented availability. AMC+/Shudder are the best first checks for the original and the Halloween 4–5 run, Max-related services are useful for H20 and Resurrection, Netflix has Halloween Ends, and digital rentals or physical media fill the gaps.
