US viewers can stream some of the 10 films nominated for Best Picture at the 2025 Oscars with services such as Max, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, and Prime Video. Others are available through a channel add-on, live-TV bundle, or one-time rental. This guide covers the complete Best Picture lineup—not every film nominated at the ceremony—and distinguishes subscription streaming from renting and buying.
Availability and displayed prices below reflect US listings checked through August 16, 2026. Streaming rights, plan requirements, formats, and prices can change.
Quick guide: all 10 Best Picture nominees

| Conclave | Starz Amazon Channel; Starz Apple TV Channel | Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Fandango At Home | Rent it unless you already have Starz or want its wider catalog |
| Dune: Part Two | Max; HBO Max Amazon Channel; YouTube TV | Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Fandango At Home, Spectrum On Demand | Max |

What “2025 Best Picture nominees” means
These are the 10 films nominated for Best Picture at the 97th Academy Awards, held on March 2, 2025. The phrase does not mean movies released during calendar year 2025, nor does it refer to the nominees at the 2026 Oscars. All 10 films in this lineup were 2024 releases.
#1 Best Overall
- Enjoy Blu-ray Disc movies in Full HD as well as DVD discs
- Upscale your DVDs to near HD quality
- Easy set-up with included HDMI cord
- Boot up in less than a second with super quick start mode
- Keep things simple with the new user-friendly interface
The cheapest way to watch the full lineup
There is no single service carrying all 10 films. The most economical approach depends on which subscriptions you already pay for:
- Start with Max: it covers The Brutalist, Dune: Part Two, and The Substance.
- Check Netflix: it covers Emilia Pérez and I’m Still Here.
- Use Hulu for Anora: Kanopy may be a potentially free alternative if your library or university participates and still has the title available.
- Use Peacock for Wicked.
- Check Prime Video or MGM+ for Nickel Boys.
- Rent the gaps: a rental is usually better value than starting a new monthly subscription for only A Complete Unknown or Conclave.
Displayed price signals in the cited listings included Hulu at $11.99 per month, Max at $10.99 per month, Netflix from $8.99 per month with ads, and rentals starting around $3.99 to $5.99 depending on the title and store. These were dated listing prices, not guaranteed checkout totals. Taxes, promotions, plan changes, video quality, and regional terms can alter the final cost.
Film-by-film details
Anora
Sean Baker’s Palme d’Or-winning drama follows a Brooklyn sex worker whose impulsive marriage to a Russian oligarch’s son brings conflict with his family. It is currently listed on Hulu and Kanopy, with rentals and purchases through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. Kanopy access is not universally free: you need an eligible participating library or university account, and borrowing limits vary.
The Brutalist
Brady Corbet’s historical drama follows a Hungarian architect rebuilding his life and career in postwar America. It is listed on Max, the HBO Max Amazon Channel, and YouTube TV. Rental and purchase options are listed through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. The film’s unusually long 3-hour-35-minute runtime is worth considering when choosing between a rental and a monthly service.

A Complete Unknown
James Mangold’s Bob Dylan biographical drama stars Timothée Chalamet. The cited US listing shows YouTube TV along with rental and purchase options from Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. YouTube TV was displayed at about $67.99 per month, making it a poor fit if this is the only film you want to watch.
Conclave
Edward Berger’s political thriller follows the secretive process of selecting a new pope. The current snapshot lists Starz Amazon Channel and Starz Apple TV Channel, plus digital rental and purchase options. Do not assume older listings that associated the film with Peacock are still current; check the title in the relevant service before subscribing.
Dune: Part Two
Denis Villeneuve’s science-fiction epic continues Paul Atreides’ journey on Arrakis. It is listed on Max, the HBO Max Amazon Channel, and YouTube TV, with rental and purchase options from Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Fandango At Home, and Spectrum On Demand. Max is the simplest subscription route for viewers also planning to watch The Brutalist or The Substance.
Emilia Pérez
Jacques Audiard’s musical crime drama is listed on Netflix, including the Standard with Ads plan in the cited snapshot. No separate rental option was listed by JustWatch. The film includes substantial Spanish-language dialogue, so subtitle settings may matter depending on your preference.

Nickel Boys
Adapted from Colson Whitehead’s novel, RaMell Ross’s drama follows two Black teenagers at a brutal reform school in segregated Florida. It is listed across Prime Video, Prime Video with Ads, MGM+, MGM+ channel offerings, fuboTV, and Philo, as well as transactional stores. Prime Video or an MGM+ subscription you already have is generally more practical than joining a live-TV service for this one title.
The Substance
Coralie Fargeat’s body-horror satire stars Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley as a woman confronting a disturbing alternate version of herself. It is listed on Max and MUBI, plus their associated Amazon Channels, with rentals and purchases through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. MUBI may be particularly useful for viewers who already want its broader arthouse catalog.
Wicked
Jon M. Chu’s adaptation of the Broadway musical tells the origin story of Elphaba and Glinda. It is listed on Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus, with rental and purchase options from Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Fandango At Home, and FlixFling. Subscription streaming is not all the same
Subscription streaming means the film is included in a service such as Netflix, Max, Hulu, Peacock, MUBI, or Prime Video, subject to that service’s plan terms.
Channel add-ons are separate paid subscriptions billed through another platform. HBO Max Amazon Channel, Starz Amazon Channel, MGM+ Amazon Channel, and MUBI Amazon Channel are not automatically included with ordinary Prime Video access. A Starz subscription billed through Amazon or Apple may also have different account and cancellation arrangements from a standalone Starz account.
Live-TV bundles such as YouTube TV, fuboTV, and Philo can appear in streaming databases, but they are television packages rather than ordinary on-demand services. They may be useful if you already want their live channels, but they are usually poor value for one movie.
Renting or buying is a one-time digital transaction. Rental prices and availability can differ between Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Fandango At Home, and other stores, so compare the final price and video format before paying.

- Search the exact title and year, especially for A Complete Unknown.
- Confirm that the provider logo and plan tier match the listing.
- Check whether the result says Subscription, Rent, or Buy.
- Search inside the provider’s own app rather than relying only on a general web result.
- Check whether the title is included in your specific live-TV or channel package.
- For Kanopy, verify that your library or university participates and that you have borrowing credits remaining.
- Compare a rental with the cost of starting a new monthly service, then check again later if the rights appear to have changed.
Availability is US-only in this guide. Catalogs in Canada, the UK, Australia, and other countries can differ substantially. The films may also vary by service in HD versus 4K availability, subtitles, audio tracks, and age-rating presentation.
