The original Beverly Hills, 90210 ended on May 17, 2000, so 2026 marks 26 years since its finale—not 25. The familiar cast has since branched into television, directing, podcasts, hosting and other work; two of its best-known stars, Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty, have died.

Where are the surviving cast members now?
Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh)
Priestley has continued acting and directing. A September 2026 cast retrospective lists his work on the Canadian series Wild Cards and a 2025 documentary about Luke Perry. It also said a Private Eyes spinoff was scheduled to premiere in October 2026; that report establishes a planned date, not that it had aired. A February 2026 TVSquad retrospective also discussed Wild Cards, noting uncertainty then about its U.S. status.

Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor)
Garth’s recent public work includes podcasts, fashion and a memoir. A September 2026 retrospective reports that she published I Choose Me: Chasing Joy, Finding Purpose & Embracing Reinvention in 2026. It identifies the 2022 thriller Bad Influence as her last on-screen project; that is the source’s dated account, not a claim that she has stopped acting. In February 2026, TVSquad reported that she hosted the rewatch podcast 9021OMG with Tori Spelling, launched her solo podcast I Choose Me, and had launched the QVC fashion line Me with her daughter in 2024, as well as partnered with ThirdLove.
Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders)
Ziering moved into reality television hosting and production as well as acting. The September 2026 retrospective reports that he produced and hosted the CW series The Great American Road Rally: Celebrity Edition, which premiered that month.

Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman)
Carteris continued with acting and voice work after the series and returned as Andrea in the 2019 reunion series BH90210. The September 2026 retrospective also reported that she was president of the International Federation of Actors at that time.
Brian Austin Green (David Silver)
A September 2026 cast retrospective lists Green’s appearances in The Conners and That ’90s Show, as well as film work including The 3 Killer Pigs (2026). These are reported examples, not a complete filmography.

Tori Spelling (Donna Martin)
Spelling reprised Donna in BH90210 in 2019 and hosts the personal podcast misSPELLING, launched in April 2024. According to the September 2026 retrospective, she left the 9021OMG rewatch podcast in mid-2026.
What happened to Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty?
Luke Perry (Dylan McKay)
Perry died on March 4, 2019, aged 52. Beyond Beverly Hills, 90210, audiences saw him as Fred Andrews on Riverdale; his final film, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, was released posthumously. These details are reported in a September 2026 cast retrospective.
Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh)
Doherty died on July 13, 2024, aged 53. Her portrayal of Brenda Walsh remains one of the defining parts of the original series. The death date and age are reported in the September 2026 cast retrospective.

Several original cast members returned in BH90210, a 2019 revival that the actors appeared in as fictionalized versions of themselves. The Television Academy records the original series’ 1990–2000 run; the September 2026 retrospective dates the finale to May 17, 2000. A revival reunion is distinct from the original show continuing beyond its finale.
