Remy Scott is not mentioned in the official synopsis for FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 14, “100%.” The synopsis focuses on Hana and Ethan, and the available reporting does not explain why Dylan McDermott’s character is absent from the episode’s listed story. CBS’ later cancellation of the series is separate context; there is no evidence connecting it to Remy’s absence in this episode.
What happens in season 6, episode 14?
Paramount+’s Canada episode guide identifies season 6, episode 14 as “100%.” Its synopsis says: “While helping Ethan seek treatment at a VA Hospital Hana puts out an SOS to the Fugitive Task Force.” The official description therefore centers on Hana and Ethan, not Remy. Why isn’t Remy in the episode?
The synopsis does not mention Remy, but it does not explain his absence either. Paramount Global Content identifies Remy Scott as the Fugitive Task Force leader and Dylan McDermott as the actor who plays him. The sources available do not establish whether McDermott was absent for a story reason or a production reason, so claims about an assignment, scheduling conflict, illness, or deliberate choice to spotlight another character would be speculation. Did CBS’ cancellation cause the absence?
No connection has been established. CBS canceled FBI: Most Wanted after season 6, but the cancellation is later context, not an explanation for the episode 14 synopsis or McDermott’s absence.
#1 Best Overall
When discussing the cancellation, it helps to separate CBS’ stated reason from audience figures reported alongside the news. On May 7, 2025, TVLine reported that each of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International averaged about 6.5 million viewers with delayed playback, down 9% from the prior season. TVLine’s cited report does not identify the underlying ratings dataset in its article excerpt, so these should be treated as reported figures rather than independently verified Nielsen numbers. Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, described the decision as an economic one, saying the shows’ deals “weren’t penciling out for us from an economic perspective.” That is the network’s public explanation; the reported audience figures provide context but do not reveal the full internal decision process.

Showrunner David Hudgins told Parade on May 20, 2025, that the cancellation news arrived early enough for the writers to shape a closing story and give the characters closure. In the series finale, Remy announces his retirement and Sheryll takes over as Fugitive Task Force leader. Hudgins described the intended tone as hopeful: “I wanted to end on a note of hope and not despair. Life goes on for the task force and these characters, hence the title of the episode.” This explains the finale’s direction, not Remy’s absence in “100%.” Parade’s interview with David Hudgins
