A June 2024 entertainment article said she owns a home in Bakersfield, California, but it did not establish that she lives there now. The clearest verified update about Baena herself remains her 2011 retirement from her longtime job with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s household staff.
What is known about Mildred Baena’s whereabouts today?
There is no reliable, recent public reporting that confirms where Baena currently lives or what work, if any, she does. A Nöjeslivet article published in June 2024 reported that she owned a home in Bakersfield, California, and described her as retired. That is a dated report, not independent confirmation of her present residence or circumstances.

Baena has kept a low public profile. Recent coverage about her son Joseph Baena concerns his own public activities and does not establish where his mother lives or what she does today.
What did Baena do before she retired?
Baena worked for many years as a member of the Schwarzenegger household staff. In a contemporaneous interview reported by the Los Angeles Times on May 17, 2011, she said she had reached 20 years of service and then asked to retire: “I wanted to achieve my 20 years, then I asked to retire.” The newspaper also reported that she received severance and left on good terms with the family.
