In the U.S., JustWatch listed Inglourious Basterds on Philo in its July 30, 2026 availability check. Peacock’s own July 1 page also said the film was available there. Those listings can change, and other guides disagree, so check the title in the service before subscribing. If it is not included in a subscription you already have, digital rental is listed at about $3.99 through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store and Fandango At Home.
Where to watch Inglourious Basterds in the U.S.
These are availability signals reported in July 2026—not a guarantee that a title will remain in a catalog. The distinction between subscription access and a rental or purchase matters: a film appearing in a service’s search results does not necessarily mean it is included in the service’s base subscription.

JustWatch’s listing is the clearest dated U.S. snapshot in the available sources. Other guides have returned different answers, so treat any aggregator as a starting point and the service’s own playback or checkout screen as the final check.

Can you watch it free?
There are three different possibilities, and they should not be confused:

- Free without an account: Philo’s July 7 roundup described the film as free to watch without an account or credit card. However, JustWatch’s July 30 U.S. listing said there was no completely free streaming option, and a Philo player result did not clearly confirm Tarantino’s 2009 film. Treat Philo’s no-account claim as time-sensitive and verify the exact title before relying on it.
- Free trial: Philo’s roundup advertised a seven-day trial for new subscribers to its Essential plan, which it listed from $25 per month. Eligibility and terms can change; check renewal timing and cancellation requirements before starting a trial.
- Included with a subscription you already pay for: The Philo and Peacock listings may make viewing effectively no additional cost if the film is still included in your current plan. Confirm that the play option is subscription access, not a rental, add-on or separate purchase.
Because the sources conflict, do not assume the movie is currently free just because a Philo article says so—or that no free access exists because an aggregator omits it. Check the live listing in the app.
Rental and purchase prices
U.S. listings in the research showed digital rentals at about $3.99 on Amazon Video, Apple TV Store and Fandango At Home. A digital purchase was listed at around $14.99 in at least one listing, but that is not a universal price. Retailer, resolution, promotion and location can affect the amount; check the checkout screen for the current price and rental window.
For a single viewing, a rental is usually the lower-cost transactional choice. For repeat viewing, compare a digital purchase with a DVD or Blu-ray. A digital “purchase” is generally a license tied to the retailer account and its supported apps, not an unrestricted video file. Disc editions require a compatible player but are not dependent on a streaming service keeping the film in its catalog.

- Netflix: U.S. availability was not confirmed by the latest source set. Netflix catalogs vary by country, so an international listing or older article does not establish U.S. access.
- Prime Video: Amazon Video is listed for rent and purchase. That does not mean the film is included with an Amazon Prime membership. Look for an explicit included-with-Prime label before assuming it is covered.
- Peacock: Peacock’s July 1, 2026 editorial page says the movie is available there. Since a dedicated current title page was not established, verify the film in Peacock before subscribing.
Make sure it is the 2009 film
The correct title is Inglourious Basterds, with the unusual “u” in “Inglourious.” The 2009 film is directed by Quentin Tarantino and stars Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Mélanie Laurent, Eli Roth, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger and Daniel Brühl. It runs 2 hours 33 minutes and is rated R in the U.S.

Searching for the more familiar spelling “Inglorious Bastards” can surface The Inglorious Bastards, an unrelated 1978 film. Check the year, director or cast in the result before renting or pressing play. A surfaced Philo title page, for example, was for the 1978 movie, not Tarantino’s film.
Availability outside the U.S.
Streaming rights are licensed by territory, so the U.S. services above may not apply elsewhere. Listings in other countries have shown different services, including Netflix, Super Channel and Sky Go. Select your country in a current streaming guide, then verify availability in the service itself; do not use a U.S. result to infer what is included in another country.

- Considering a subscription only for this film? Compare the subscription’s full cost and renewal terms with a one-time rental. A trial is useful only if you qualify and cancel in time if you do not want a paid renewal.
