Public reporting places Joe Alwyn back in London, living in the area where he grew up—but it does not establish his exact current home. The widely repeated story that he and Taylor Swift bought a mansion in Belsize Park is less certain: a 2023 report described them as being in the process of buying a house, not as having completed the purchase.
Where does Joe Alwyn live now?
The most recent location reporting in the sources reviewed places Alwyn in London, in his childhood neighborhood. A March 2025 profile by El País said he had returned to London and was living in the area where he grew up. A January 2025 Guardian profile identifies Kentish Town as the area where he grew up. Together, those reports support a broad London location, not a verified current address or proof that he lives on a particular street.
Alwyn has not publicly confirmed a specific current residence in the sources reviewed. His privacy is relevant: in a 2022 interview with The Guardian, he said, “I’m aware of people’s interest in my relationship, and the more it’s fed, the more you open a gate for intrusion.” Responsible reporting should not go beyond the broad location that has been published.
Did Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift buy a Belsize Park mansion?
In April 2023, AS USA reported that Swift and Alwyn were “in the process of buying” a seven-bedroom property in Belsize Park for £8.3 million, citing The Sun on Sunday. That account describes a reported purchase in progress; it does not confirm that the sale closed or establish that either person owned the property. It is therefore more accurate to say they were reported to be pursuing the home than to say they bought it.

How the Belsize Park report differs from their reported former home
The Belsize Park property should not be confused with a London townhouse in Primrose Hill. Architectural Digest reported that Alwyn and Swift lived together in the Primrose Hill townhouse for much of their relationship, while noting that it was unclear whether they owned or rented it. The two accounts concern different properties and establish different things:

The Guardian’s 2025 profile refers to the couple’s breakup in April 2023. The Belsize Park story was reported that same month, but its timing does not prove the purchase was completed or that the property became either person’s home.
