Recent reports published June 20, 2026, say Julia Roberts and Danny Moder’s twins attend different colleges: Phinnaeus (Finn) Moder is at the University of California, Berkeley, and Hazel Moder is at Trinity College Dublin. Those school names have not been confirmed in the cited interviews with Roberts or by either university.
Which colleges are Julia Roberts’s twins reported to attend?
| Twin | Reported college | What the reporting establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Phinnaeus (Finn) Moder | University of California, Berkeley | Geo News and The Times of India reported this affiliation on June 20, 2026. Neither report cites confirmation from the family or Berkeley. Geo News; The Times of India |
| Hazel Moder | Trinity College Dublin | Geo News and The Times of India reported this affiliation on June 20, 2026. Neither report cites confirmation from the family or Trinity College Dublin. Geo News; The Times of India |
The best-supported current answer is therefore Berkeley for Finn and Trinity College Dublin for Hazel, while treating both as reported affiliations rather than official announcements.
What has Julia Roberts said about her children going to college?
Roberts has publicly discussed her children entering college, but her cited comments do not identify the schools. In an April 2022 interview with Extra, she said the twins were about to start college in the fall and described feeling excited for them. In December 2023, she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, “Two of the three of my children are in college.” E! News reported the 2023 comment; Extra’s interview covered her 2022 remarks.
Why have some reports said both twins went to Berkeley?
Earlier coverage said both twins were at or headed to UC Berkeley, relying on an unnamed source. A 2023 We Got This Covered story attributed that account to Closer Weekly, and a 2026 Vanity Fair Italia article repeated it. Those reports do not provide a named family or university confirmation. The newer June 2026 reports instead describe the twins as attending different institutions. We Got This Covered; Vanity Fair Italia

What is not confirmed about their studies?

The available reporting also does not establish official enrollment details, such as a course of study or graduation timeline.
