The family’s public story
On June 24, 2024, the American Cornerstone Institute published an episode description for “Faith in the Fire: How the Kyle Family Found Strength”, featuring Taya Kyle and her children McKenna and Colton. The description says they discussed resilience, faith, healing, and their mission to support service marriages through the family foundation. It documents a public conversation on that date; it does not establish how the siblings spend their everyday lives.
For family background, ABC News reported in 2015 that Taya Kyle described Chris as devoted to their two children, a son she nicknamed “Bubba” and a daughter she nicknamed “Angel.” The foundation identifies those children as Colton and McKenna. Taya also said of Chris, “I truly don’t think there’s a better example of what a father should be than him, and I don’t say that lightly. And I don’t even think it’s all that biased.” The statement is historical context, not an update on the siblings’ current activities.

What is not publicly established
The foundation’s biographies and the dated 2024 episode provide some information about the siblings’ public activities, but not a reliable current account of their day-to-day personal lives, relationships, precise ages, or residences. Their public work should not be mistaken for a comprehensive picture of their private circumstances.
Chris Kyle’s memoir, American Sniper: Memorial Edition, is background to the story behind the film; it is not an update about his children.
