The U.S. version of The Biggest Loser produced 18 winners: 17 NBC seasons from 2004 through 2016, followed by a single USA Network reboot season in 2020. Their later lives differ sharply. Some have discussed regain, careers, family and health work; others have largely left the public eye. The updates below reflect the latest publicly reported information, not a guarantee of anyone’s status on September 27, 2026.

The complete U.S. winners list

18 (USA Network reboot) 2020 Jim DiBattista

What each winner has been doing

Ryan Benson (season 1, 2004)

Us Weekly has reported that Benson regained weight after his season, has three children and works as senior vice president of global content delivery at Lionsgate. He also participated in Netflix’s 2025 documentary series Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser. A March 2026 People syndication excerpt quoted him saying, “Within three days after the show, I had gained 25 to 30 lbs. back just in water weight alone.” That is his account of the immediate aftermath, not a measurement of his current weight.

Matt Hoover (season 2, 2005)

Hoover married fellow contestant Suzy Preston, and Parade and Us Weekly have described their family life. Us Weekly reported that he underwent bariatric surgery in 2019 and estimated that he had lost about 150 pounds by 2025. The figure is a press-reported estimate rather than a current clinical record.

Erik Chopin (season 3, 2006)

Us Weekly reported substantial regain after the show, a later return to the franchise and work as a life coach. Parade’s account indicates that more recent details about his activities are unclear, so those career references should be read as dated reporting rather than a confirmed present-day profile.

Ali Vincent (season 5, 2008)

Vincent was the first woman to win the U.S. series. She later spoke publicly about regain and further changes in her weight. Parade identifies her memoir, Believe It, Be It: How Being the Biggest Loser Won Me Back My Life, and reports on her family life. Those public discussions offer context about her experience without establishing a single “current” number.

Michelle Aguilar (season 6, 2008)

Aguilar’s public profile is comparatively limited. Us Weekly reports that she is married to Micah Whitehead and that they have two daughters. Parade notes occasional social-media posts, but does not provide a specific recent weight or a detailed account of her work.

Danny Cahill (season 8, 2009)

Cahill has been reported as a motivational speaker and singer. He has also discussed regaining weight and appears in Fit for TV, where former contestants revisit the show’s methods and aftermath. His comments describe his own experience and should not be generalized to every winner.

Michael Ventrella (season 9, 2010)

Parade described Ventrella as having pursued trainer and speaking work, while noting an absence of recent posts. Us Weekly characterized him as having retreated from public view. There is not enough recent, reliable reporting to state his current job or weight.

Patrick House (season 10, 2010)

Olivia Ward (season 11, 2011)

Parade has described Ward’s continuing involvement in health and wellness. Us Weekly reported that she appeared in Fit for TV, worked as a SoulCycle instructor and founded the My Counter Balance wellness program. These are source-dated activities; the reports do not supply a current weight.

Jeremy Britt (season 13, 2012)

There is unusually little public information. Parade explicitly said it could find no online information about Britt’s current weight or activities, and Us Weekly said he stayed out of the spotlight. Nothing reliable supports filling that gap with speculation.

Danni Allen (season 14, 2013)

Allen has been reported as a motivational speaker and a former Planet Fitness marketing director. In 2025 she posted about the anniversary of her season and her family. Those posts show continued occasional public engagement, but do not establish a current weight.

Rachel Frederickson (season 15, 2014)

Frederickson’s finale result prompted public concern at the time, and later reports said she regained some weight. Her current public updates are limited. Appearance-based commentary cannot establish a diagnosis or a precise present condition.

Toma Dobrosavljevic (season 16, 2015)

Parade reported that Dobrosavljevic had reportedly maintained much of his loss and had fitness-related endorsements, while also noting limited subsequent information. Us Weekly said he and season 15 contestant Chelsea Arthurs kept their personal lives private. No detailed, recent public account is available.

Roberto Hernandez (season 17, 2016)

Us Weekly reported that Hernandez became a high-school teacher and lives with his wife and children. The outlet also noted motorcycle-related posts. Those family and career details are the clearest later updates; they do not include a current weight measurement.

Jim DiBattista (season 18, 2020)

DiBattista won the USA Network reboot season. Reports identify him as a Philadelphia football coach and a current lacrosse coach. A March 2026 People syndication search excerpt said he celebrated earning a college degree in February 2026, although the full article was not accessible for verification; that detail should therefore be treated as an attributed report, not a definitive record.

What the follow-up research does—and does not—show

Weight regain appears in several winners’ personal accounts, but those stories are not a clinical survey of all 18 champions. A 2020 Novo Nordisk educational brochure summarized a peer-reviewed 2016 study by Fothergill, Guo, Howard and colleagues in Obesity. Researchers followed 14 season-eight contestants for six years. During the 30-week competition, the group lost an average of 128.3 ± 54.8 pounds; six years later, 13 of 14 had regained weight and five were within 1 percent of their starting weight. Their measured resting metabolic rate was about 500 calories per day below the predicted level at follow-up.

That was one small contestant cohort, not all 18 winners and not the general public. It helps explain why maintenance can be difficult, but it cannot predict any particular winner’s outcome.

Why the winners are being discussed again

Netflix released the three-episode 2025 docuseries Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser. The series revisits the program’s legacy, including contestants’ accounts and criticism of intense exercise, severe calorie restriction and humiliating challenges. Producers and trainers have denied accusations reported in the surrounding coverage. The documentary is a retrospective conversation, not proof that every season or contestant had the same experience.

How to read “where are they now?” coverage

  • Separate a dated update from a current status. A 2018 spokesperson role or an older social post may be the latest public trace, not evidence of what someone is doing now.
  • Do not treat silence as a story. For people such as Jeremy Britt and Michael Ventrella, the responsible answer is that little recent information is publicly available.
  • Keep personal testimony and research distinct. One winner’s account of regain and one study of 14 contestants cannot stand in for every champion.
  • Avoid judging health from photographs. Public reporting rarely supplies the medical information needed to interpret appearance or weight changes.
