Private Party did not win the AEW World Tag Team Championship at WrestleDream 2024. The Young Bucks retained there; Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy won the titles in a rematch on AEW Dynamite on October 30, 2024.
Did Private Party beat the Young Bucks at WrestleDream?
No. At WrestleDream 2024, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson—the Young Bucks—defended the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Private Party, the team of Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy, and retained the belts. AEW’s official event report notes that Private Party countered the Bucks’ More Bang For Your Buck with Gin & Juice for a near fall, but they did not win the match.
Private Party had earned that opportunity by winning a tag-team eliminator match on Collision on October 5. That victory set up their WrestleDream challenge, not a title change. AEW’s Collision report records the eliminator win.
When did Private Party win the AEW Tag Team titles?
Private Party defeated the Young Bucks on the October 30, 2024 episode of Dynamite, billed as Fright Night Dynamite, to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions. The win came in the rematch after the Bucks had retained at WrestleDream. AEW’s report of the October 30 show confirms the title change.

Why did Private Party have to split up if they lost?
Before the rematch, Private Party proposed a stipulation: if they lost to the Young Bucks again, they would break up as a team. The condition made the October 30 match a career-defining test for the duo as a partnership, as well as a championship opportunity. The proposal was reported on October 23 by AEW, and the promotion’s October 30 account confirms the stipulation was in effect.
How the two matches differed
