The first five minutes of Stranger Things 5 debuted during Netflix’s virtual watch party. Netflix did not announce a separate exact clock time for the preview clip. The 5 p.m. PT time often associated with the season refers to the later release of Volume 1, not the watch-party preview.
When did the first five minutes debut?
Netflix Tudum reported on Nov. 7, 2025, that the first five minutes of the premiere episode debuted during the Stranger Things 5 virtual watch party. Its article does not give a separate clock time for when the clip appeared. The preview was from “The Crawl,” which opens in 1983 with Will Byers’ disappearance. Netflix Tudum’s preview article also quotes Vecna saying, “At long last, we can begin.”
What did 5 p.m. PT refer to?
Netflix scheduled the first four episodes, known as Volume 1, for Nov. 26, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT. That was the full-volume release time, not a separately announced time for the five-minute preview. Netflix’s global schedule lists Nov. 26 in the Americas and Nov. 27 in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania regions shown on the page.
Netflix’s Media Center series listing describes the three-part season schedule: Volume 1 had four episodes, Volume 2 had three episodes and was scheduled for Christmas, and the finale was scheduled for New Year’s Eve. It gives 5 p.m. PT as the release time for each volume; that schedule does not establish an exact clock time for the earlier watch-party clip.
