This guide covers the Canadian streaming schedule for September 29–October 5, 2025. The week’s biggest arrivals are 28 Years Later on Crave, Chad Powers on Disney+, Play Dirty on Prime Video, and Netflix’s Steve and Monster: The Ed Gein Story.
Dates below describe scheduled Canadian availability. Streaming catalogues can change, and Prime Video listings may combine titles included with a subscription, rentals, purchases and add-on channels.

- Best Halloween hub: Creepy Cravings — Crave, October 1. Bell Media’s seasonal collection brings together horror, Halloween episodes, family-friendly scares and horror comedies.
Crave
Crave has the week’s most prominent film premiere with 28 Years Later, along with a large Halloween push and several documentary, reality and catalogue additions. Bell Media’s official weekly overview also lists returning programming and themed collections.

- September 29: I Am Chris Farley; Aussie Gold Hunters seasons 1–9; Aussie Gold Hunters: Mine SOS season 1.
- October 1: It (1990), It (2017) and It: Chapter Two; Kim Kardashian Diamond Heist; Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks seasons 6–8; the Creepy Cravings Halloween hub.
- October 2: MasterChef Canada season 8 premiere; Shifting Gears season 2 premiere.
- October 3: 28 Years Later; Can I Get a Witness?; Confess, Fletch; Hold Your Breath; One True Loves; Ozzy: Coming Home; selected Hard Knocks catalogue entries.
Weekly and additional programming
The same schedule includes Ramy season 3, Tales from the Territories, Prince Andrew: Banished, Chris Locke: Captain Bones and season 2 of Dark Side of the ’90s. Love Island Games reaches its season finale on October 5.

Worth knowing: Crave’s HBO, STARZ and premium-film availability can depend on the Canadian plan or add-on selected. Confirm the title’s access requirements in the Crave app before subscribing specifically for one film.
Disney+
Chad Powers is Disney+’s main new arrival: the series premieres September 30 with two episodes. The Canadian catalogue also gets crime, comedy, horror, family and franchise additions.

Disney+ availability, episode timing and regional catalogues can change, so treat the Canadian listing as a schedule rather than a permanent guarantee.
Netflix
Netflix concentrates its most notable original releases on October 3. That makes the service the strongest destination this week for viewers choosing between a new drama, a true-crime dramatization and several other all-at-once releases.

Prime Video
Prime Video’s September 30 catalogue wave is aimed largely at rewatchers, while Play Dirty is the principal new film arrival on October 1. Prime Video’s Canadian interface can display subscription titles alongside rentals, purchases and channel content; verify the access label on each title page rather than assuming every listing is included with Prime.

For viewers already paying for Prime Video, the catalogue additions provide more value than a single title-specific signup. For everyone else, check whether Play Dirty is included in the Canadian subscription or offered as a separate transaction before joining.

October’s first week is unusually useful for horror fans. Start with 28 Years Later on Crave, then pair it with It and It: Chapter Two. Sinister, Jaws, the Twilight films and Night of the Living Dead cover different flavours of seasonal viewing, from studio horror and creature features to vampire melodrama and foundational zombie cinema.
